NOTE: This post isn't meant to shame anyone or put anyone down.

I just watched this video by an American man who found his wife in the Philippines, and she is sitting right beside him in the video.:

Please watch it, BOTH of them explain everything. It's very eye-opening for those of you who have a knee-jerk distasteful reaction to this kinda stuff.

She is CLEARLY in love with this man and her body language & whole demeanor shows it. She basically touches him repeatedly and fawns over him throughout the video. I don't understand why Westerners, including sometimes Western women see this, and think it's evil or problematic. In the video, he essentially details how he is considered a high value man and has high SMV with the local women, to the point that local women try to poach him from his wife.

In fact, it's such a wholesome situation that both him and his wife respond to comments and she has personally thoroughly shot down ignorant, hateful comments that even some women on this sub like making such as "He's exploiting her", "He is likely abusive", "She's too good for him", "She is just a desperate gold digger". In fact, one commenter did state that she was too good for him, but she calmly rebuked his comment. And while both have visited the US, they both reside in the Philippines, so there's no way you can say she is trying to get a visa or green card from him because they aren't moving to America. He also seems to have assimilated into the local culture.

The whole "predator", "exploitation", "wAtcH 90 dAy FiAnCeE", "sHe jUsT wAnTs a gReEn cArD" is such obvious horsecrap when you see happily married or happily together couples like this. He even tries to be as polite as possible when basically stating his preferences, and how truly difficult it is to find a woman who fits his criteria in America.

For the girls in the sub, think about it from a man's point of view for just a second. As the man in the video states, he is average height in America but considered tall in the Philippines. If a man like this has a low or mid SMV in America due to uncontrollable factors like height, but those same factors actually make him high SMV somewhere else, why wouldn't he go where he is valued? If you as a woman were looking for love but were considered "low value" or "mid" in your country and found your romantic prospects to be unsatisfactory (let's say they were either misogynists and/or weak feminine men), and you learned that in Eastern Europe, you could find a strong masculine, but respectful and kind man, wouldn't you want to make the trip to find love overseas too? Why should you have to settle if you didn't like your options and figured out that you in fact, didn't have to settle? In what world does it make sense to not take your chances overseas in this scenario? And why wouldn't you, because some men might take offense to it or find it problematic? I dare even say, wouldn't you as a women find those trash-talking men to be sad, bitter, jealous, and pathetic?

As an aside, she is not only clearly in love with him, but she is getting lifted out of poverty and living a lifestyle that 90%+ of local men could never provide her, plus she has a man who has "status" in her culture. Plus, since he was raised in the West, he is likely to NOT have the same machismo and sexist expectations that local men have (which are far higher than the average American man, as shocking as that might sound to some of you). So, how is this not a win for her? Or for any local woman who marries a Western man? She is clearly not a "servant" to her man, but EVEN if that is what she chose, then who are you to gatekeep what she should or shouldn't do with her life? Who are you to tell her that you know what's best & better for her than herself?

So rather than being close minded, I wish people would see that loving relationships really do happen between Western men and non-Western women in the 3rd world. Are there terrible people amongst the "passport bros" and those finding romance overseas? Of course, like in anything. But to generalize that and say all men who go overseas for love are evil predators / abusers /pedophiles / rapists / incels / misogynists / [insert defamatory label] is just plain ignorant.
