You know what’s really scary is that, so I have this coworker who just reeks of NVM, was extremely creepy towards me so I started avoiding him. Anyways at some point he told me he loved kids etc and one day I overheard him on the phone with what sounded like a little kid, and in the past he’s mentioned that his friend has kids and he’s like a second father to them. Anyway later on I find out the person who was on the phone was an 11 y o girl and idk why my heart skipped a beat in thinking he might start grooming her. Like I don’t know if I’m paranoid or if something about that convo where he was on the phone for a really long time and talking as if he was talking to a toddler. I have a friend with 3 kids. Her husband invited his uncle to stay with them for 1 month (a man she herself has never met) without discussing it with her, and she flat out said, "Sure, he can stay here-- if you can guarantee that he isn't going to molest the kids". Her husband was offended af and was all hoW dAre Uuuuu but ultimately realized he could not guarantee this, so he rescinded his offer for the uncle to stay with them. They were otherwise very hospitable, hosted dinners and entertained him, took him out several times. But yeah, protecting your kids SHOULD fucking come first, always. Wow it didn’t even occur to me at the time...wish I had FDS back then. I usually just tried to avoid convo w him since he creeped me out (he’d try to come too close to me and always accidentally brush his hand against me or would poke me). This happened over a year ago, before the pandemic. After that we WFH’d and I never spoke to him at all, and he’s leaving the company next week. I'm coming to the same realisation. I remember when I was at uni, and a couple of my friends moved in with their boyfriends when we were 19-20, and I thought that completely insane. I told them too, and they acted as though I was childish. Guess who was complaining 2-3 months later that they had to do everything at home? We want to be adults so bad at that age, but we're constantly shown that being adult is being in a relationship, instead of building out own individual future.

I've seen this happen. Knew a woman who was 22 when she met her husband (a 45-year old married man who left his wife for her).
They've been married now for 15 years and you can tell he's stunted her growth. She's in her late 30s but has the emotional development of a young girl, and she lives to please him. He aged badly too and looks like the crypt-keeper.
Their older photos, from when they first started dating, are even more disturbing: She looked 12 and he looked like Fat Elvis - and he looked like he was molesting her whenever he kissed her.

I sincerely believe the only women for whom it’s safe to breed are the ones who are independently wealthy and go the donor route, or the ‘gold diggers’ married to billionaires who are well taken care of, contractually, after the inevitable planned divorce (basically they went into it like a job, planning to provide a service for x amount of years until they are let go with a nice benefits package, and both parties are well aware this is the plan).

Most 19 year olds are very naïve but think they know everything. I remember going through that phase myself. I bet she had an abusive childhood and an absent/abusive father. I know it sounds cliché but it's true. I went through a similar thing. I have nothing but empathy for this poor woman. She will learn in time, it will just click. As a 36 year old, I'm horrified I ever went anywhere near older scrotes. He knows she will see him for the predator that he is, so he is off chatting up the the next teenager.
