a lot of people don't say it in the sense that if you are a short man trying to date women who like tall men that it's not worth it because there is an incompatibility and it won't work, but in the sense that a woman who doesn't want to date short men is a shallow woman who is not worth it and you wouldn't want to be with even if you were tall so be glad she rejected you "you dodged a bullet bro", which is quite contradictory considering that people also often say that physical attraction is important in a relationship and there is nothing wrong with looking for a partner we like physically, but when it comes to comforting someone who has been rejected because of some physical characteristic I rarely see anyone saying "well we all have the right to our preferences and to choose people we find attractive, it's unfortunate but the other person hasn't done anything wrong" but people try to console people by saying that the person who rejected them is a shitty person and that they haven't missed out on anything or I've even seen people say "use your short stature as a filter for shitty people" with the race issue it's also the same "the good side is that you won't attract racists, only a racist wouldn't want to date a black person" And so on with other physical characteristics.

so I don't know, I notice a lot of hypocrisy or contradictions in this topic and I think nobody criticizes this because as they are just phrases that are said to people who feel bad about rejection it seems that everything is allowed when it comes to make someone feel good even if it is false and does not make sense what is being said, I think there are much better ways to deal with rejection than thinking that all people who reject you are trash.
