I’m interested in everyone’s opinion on this and I hope we can have a nice discussion.

Basically if you don’t know a “foodie call” is a situation where someone goes on a date with another just for a free meal. They don’t have romantic interest in the person at all. There are women who have guys stored in their phone as “free food”. I was reading a few articles and they state anywhere from 20-30 percent of women when asked state they have gone on one of these types of dates.

1.)What’s your thoughts on foodie calls? Have you ever engaged in this? Do you believe you were ever used for a free meal? Do you think it’s more prevalent now or just more documented? I’m sure this was a thing in the 1980’s for example

2.)Here are my thoughts, generally speaking my first dates 95% of the time are something light and casual with an easy exit strategy. Most of the time it’s just a drink at the bar, if not a walk in the park or getting ice cream. I don’t do dinner dates generally until AFTER we are official or start sleeping together. So I never really have to worry about this. If you think you got over on me because I got you an 9 dollar martini god bless you lol. Me personally, I’m not gonna sit across from someone I don’t find attractive at all just for a free plate of pasta but that’s just me.

3.)For the record, this isn’t like oh I’m not sure if I like this person I’m going out to see, this is in regards to situations where the person clearly knows they are not romantically interested and they know the person who is taking them on this date feels something more
