a lot of my male friends seem to think that the bigger muscles you have- the more attractive you are. I ask them to give examples of men that fit their perception of attractive and the top answer were- Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa Now , I as a woman would say that while Henry Cavill might be handsome. Jason Momoa is downright unattractive.

I asked the same question to my female friends and their top answers were very varied but one thing was common none of them fit the word “ripped”. (eg. young Dicaprio,Milo Ventimiglia)

While a fat guy may not be attractive too far the other end of the spectrum is also unattractive.

Even looking at pop culture, content made for men features these actors who are unrealistically fit and men convince themselves that it’s what women like even though the target audience are men (think superhero movies)

Whereas content made for women features actors with a more (comparatively) realistic bodies (think of all the heroes of chick flicks)

while a six pack is definitely attractive, too much of bodybuilding is definitely a thing

Edit: further confirmation to this theory, all the women agreeing with me while the men disagree.
