I realized today that some of you fundamentally misunderstand why younger women (low-mid 20s) date older men (30-40s). You think it’s about his money.

Don’t get me wrong, the money does help. It allows you to do more fun stuff more of the time. But it’s only a small part of the bigger picture. The fact is—sorry 20 year old men, 30 year old men are better than you. In fact, if you’re not better at 30 than you were at 20, you’ve wasted a good chunk of your life.

We already accept that men’s looks don’t fade quickly. Provided you take care of your fitness and keep your hair, you’re probably better looking at 30 to most women. You dress better. You have better taste. You are more knowledgeable and interesting. You have 10 years of social interaction, making you better to be around. You have more status. Your friends are more likely to be great people, not just whoever you met in class. You have more sexual and dating experience. Between you and a 20 year old man, you are the obvious pick.

Now this isn’t universal. Some women refuse to date older men, for fear of being manipulated or treated like a child (any many older men do this, and it's terrible). On the other hand, some women refuse to date men their own age, viewing them as immature and unaccomplished. It takes TIME to grow into your powers as a man—and if you’re not already a natural with women, your experience can only increase slowly. So use that time to better yourself, and wait for day the winds blow your way.

Anecdotally: I didn't get really good with women until my late 20s. I had looks on my side my whole life, but my confidence, maturity and "game" weren't up to par. I did better than average by my mid 20s, but those early 20s were rough, and usually relied on "getting lucky." But all that experience paid off—like when it finally clicks against an Elden Ring boss! Now even women who see me flirt with women express amazement at my ability; my dating life borders on unbelievable.

I honestly believe some of you young guys need to accept this and keep trying to git gud, not retreat into some weird internet ideology and trying to brute force sex with women (you don't even like as individuals) by playing the "numbers game."
