"I don't owe you X" is such a powerful answer to basically anything, because you can't really deny it.

Women don't owe men sex. Men don't owe women money or respect. Adult kids don't owe their parents anything. Parents don't owe their adult kids anything. You don't owe strangers anything.

You can just cop-out of everything. Of course once everyone starts doing it the society devolves into some sociopathic anarchy, but still - it always feels great to tell someone "X doesn't owe you Y" and walk away with smug face.

Y’all. I went to brunch with my dad, who is 70 and uses a cane and is not in the best of health. When it was time to pay the server told us not to worry about it, someone had already picked up the tab. A little bit later they told an elderly couple the same thing, but the waitress told me that it was not the same person who paid for ours. We are there frequently so I believe her. Did anyone else see that post on r/TIFU about a man's girlfriend finding digital nudes of his ex girlfriend and icing the relationship over him masturbating to them? The thread itself was pretty incendiary and not terribly diverse in thought but it raised some interesting questions that might yield better discussion here.

I think it's to be expected that people react how they did but I don't necessarily think he is in the wrong. What I found really peculiar though were all the people incensed that he had not voluntarily deleted the ex's nudes when the relationship ended and furthermore that consent for your possession of them can be revoked by the sender obligating you to delete them. I understand that distribution of revenge porn is unethical but that seems like a bridge too far.

Furthermore there were people asserting that regardless of nudes or not that OP was a POS for even thinking about someone that's not a complete stranger (and especially an ex) -they were mostly okay with porn generally - was a violation of trust and cheating grey-zone, which just, sounds like wild thought policing to me.

Would this make a good standalone thread? I'm not sure of the rules if I could cross post it or take other precautionary measures

I’m reading books about 19th century courtship rituals vs modern dating today. Despite looking romantic on the outside, 19th century courtship sucked for everyone since you rarely married the person you loved. Your wife was the person who bears your children. Therefore you usually found love outside your marriage. Adultery was huge during this time.

Despite challenges with dating today, it is nice we can decide what type of relationship we want and marry for love (if that’s what we want). I really am concerned with guys here wanting women to go back to 19th century duties. It wasn’t great and makes me think these men haven’t picked up a history book

At one of my local pharmacies, there’s this Latina woman that sells trinkets in front of the store, wearing her mask halfway. I’m under the assumption she’s an illegal immigrant, which means I already don’t like her. She never has a cart or bags around her, so I know she’s not homeless. The reason I genuinely hate her is that she has her fucking baby in the stroller with her the whole time. It’s nearly child abuse to use your child in vain like that. Been in beautiful Puerto Rico for the last couple days, Ill be here for another few weeks. Im getting my feet wet for the upcoming international travel im going to be doing. Next stop is cancun in January.

Ive also been getting back into non-salt dating. Just reinstalled tinder, bumble and hinge and started up an insta last night after like a 2 year long hiatus from all of these. I bought premium on all of them to maximize chances. Im with my grandparents now and dont plan on going out alone so I dont expect anything to happen while im here, but im going to be tuning up my game online and maybe practicing some spanish.

The weather here is amazing. 70s and 80s. Especially compared to where im from, where its currently snowing.

Im living up on a mountain now. Its pretty rural. Banana and palm trees, vines, even bamboo growing all over. Theres wild pigs and chickens and stray dogs all over the narrow roads. Some of these roads are a few feet away from you falling off and sliding down. Theres hardly enough room for two way traffic but the people make due. At night I hear the sounds of bats, dogs, insects and the native coqui frog which has a unique sound.

In the morning at around 4 or 5am the roosters start crowing.

One of the first things I noticed here was people's attitudes towards covid. Upon arrival at the airport there were military members in medical garbs one step down from hazmat suits. They were checking people's vaccination status and administering covid tests.

When going to the store, there was a dedicated person spraying an alchohol mixture in people's hands. Mask required inside and many people even walking outside are wearing them. This was true even today at an outside market I went to. Compared to my state where people mostly dgaf anymore and theres hardly a mask in sight.

The infastructure here is pretty bad here too. Another random thing, I see a lot of horses around, like in one of the pictures I shared, people will just tie their horse up in a random place and leave them for days.

Also, people commonly disregard traffic laws here. Past midnight tons of people dont even bother stopping for red lights, I see a lot of people parking in places that specifically have no parking signs, and on commerical land, double parking etc.

I know this is getting long already but one more thing I wanted to talk about. In one of the threads here on PPD women are talking about the lesser known struggles of female dating. And I see a lot of women complaining about how much guys lie.

And it reminds me of me haha. My dating profiles I just made, I lied about most things. My age, occupation, height, etc etc. And of course im going to lean into the relationship carrot game and lie and say whatever it takes for sex. Especially going abroad in poorer places. Why make things harder for myself by having integrity? Definitely definitely will keep my PPD fellows updated on my upcoming foriegn debauchery.

Cheating on your spouse is one of the most fucked up things you can do. One of my worst nightmares is what if I get married and my wife cheats on me. I honestly think I'd kill myself or go into a permanent mental depression.

Cheating is probably the worst thing you can do to someone that is still legal.

Just found a 5 cm. long hair on the side of my boob. The texture and colour of the hair is similar to that of the peach fuzz. So the only thing that makes the hair stand out is the length.

I also have some random hairs strands (consisting of one hair) in my head that are black (my hair is brown) and thick/corase. A black hair at the edge of the areola. And 10-12 black 4 cm. long hairs around the bellybutton that are simmilar in texture to the public/armpit hair.
