Long term relationships fail a cost/benefit analysis for men outside the top 20%

An average 5/10 guy is expected to settle for a woman who is a 3/10-4/10 at best.

Due to hypergamy, such women will expect the guy to be smarter, better looking, higher earning and just overall “better” than her.

In exchange, these men receive infrequent sex, and the possibility of having children, who will, in aggregate, be uglier, dumber and less impressive than he, as they will include his inferior partner’s genes.

By committing to such a woman, the guy has essentially given away his freedom, resources etc in exchange for lesser progeny. It’s a bad deal.

Below average men get an even worse deal.

The only men who have a chance of succeeding are at the top of the hierarchy, as the difference between a 9/10 and a 10/10 is so slight and subjective as to be invisible.

The difference between a 5/10 and a 3/10 for instance, is so significant it can be catastrophic for a man’s self esteem.

Men outside the top 20% shouldn’t commit. They should acquire sex via any legal means possible and refrain from co-habitation with the unattractive women available to them.
