You do realize she was MRA activist and spent most of her life after that book fighting for men’s rights as a men’s right activist? The books she wrote was only a small part of her life, yet you treat her as if she was only the book. So therefore her experiences as a man could not haunt

The truth is she never mentally recovered from her experiences as a man. I have even watched countless videos of her over the years of her talking about it a decade later. Yet you just ignore her as a human.

You can say “but but other issues matter” but you are really saying “she has other issues, so the issues she had that I do not like are not the cause of her death.” You are just a fraud trying to win an argument for the sake of the argument.

I mean the link you gave me flat out says she killed herself from her experiences as a man. Flat out says that. And you have to ignore that to give your dishonest argument merit.

No matter how you backpedal, a large part of her choice to commit suicide is because of her experiences as a man.

Her having other issues, does not change that fact.

The article you dismissed because of the source does not “literally” say anything like that. The offhand remark “at the cost of her mental health” alludes to her book, which is the only writing she achieved any notoriety for.

The foray into mental health institutions while pretending about of institutional quality mental illnesses and taking meds and treatments she did not need more likely caused far more damage than a lesbian LARPing as a dude.

The narrative that she killed herself because living as a man was so mentally taxing is an MRA fabrication, utter horseshit.

There is no way a rational or logical man reckons her most recognized and successful work led to her suicide twenty years later. You know, the same effort which is highly criticized as an ineffective and unscientific experiment and a real gamble for a woman who was already admittedly mentally ill and contrarian.

Yes and no. I will be treated like a monster more so than men are. I'll be seen as inherently predatory. I've never had fulfilling female friendships because of that. Men have gotten away with much worse things than what I "did".

Yes, it is a skill issue to not be able to attract a mate. Men aren't seen as tools at all, but being an incapable, useless pos won't help you when it comes to socializing.

Women are objectified just as much by men, if not more. At least that what I've noticed when looking at it from outside.

No, you literally cannot accept that men who deserve good treatment are treated well.

Men who are useful objects my ass. You don't have to be helpful towards everyone to be appreciated. My dad is appreciated because he's a great snooker player. He is technically useful, but he's not liked for how he can service others. Some men are funny, charismatic, they know a bunch of stuff about a bunch of subjects, which makes talking to them a fun activity.

Well yes, you have to bring some sort of value to the people around you. You can't just be a loser and expect others to like you. Time and energy are still valuable resources, and you become a black hole that sucks the happiness out of everyone if you keep expecting resources such as time, affection or energy (basically you're objectifying them), without giving anything back. My friends don't use me if they ask me to house sit for a few days, I don't suddenly become an object. They offered me value in other ways, wether that be good advice, a shoulder to cry on, a home cooked meal, whatever. That's how human relationships work, and it's really puzzling to me that you look at this phenomenon and call it exploitative, especially just towards men.

You view it as bad, and that's a problem. Human relationships have always worked this way. If you can't fit in a human society while every other functional human being can, then it has to be your fault. Why is being useful to the people around you a bad thing? Every single living thing is useful in its own way. Does the flower feel objectified by the bee when it gets pollinated???

I don't have to be as amazing as a man, and it's not my fault if they perceived my behaviour as creepy. It wasn't my intention, neither were my thoughts necessarily unpure or worse than a teenage boy's. However, it still was my responsibility to adapt to that (which I did), so no one feels uncomfortable anymore. You can adapt too, that's your responsibility.

As for my amazingness, I feel pretty good about myself and the people around me too. I am nothing like a man and I'm not supposed to be. Being more masculine doesn't equate me to being a man. I can still be handier than the usual woman, I can be stronger, more hands on while still retaining my femininity and not emasculating the men around me. Women aren't less amazing for not being men just like men aren't less amazing for not being women.

I forgive you for believing that because you don't have the lesbian experience and you can't have it. I wasn't necessarily awkward, I just thought that I can act like the other girls without it being interpreted as sexual or creepy. I had to completely change my behaviour around them after I came out, even if the way I acted around them wasn't an issue before they knew I was attracted to women. They started acting weird actually. Requesting that I do more things for them( similar behaviour they had with boys that were interested in them), attempting to "turn me on" or fluster me, thinking I "stare at them" when I wasn't or interpreting completely non sexual behaviour on my part as sexual. Similar to what teenage boys might have experienced.

A. I'm bisexual. And literally did a thesis piece on how Wilde's sexuality, multiple scandals and internalized shame with his own sexuality appear in his work.

B. Oscar Wilde's relationship with his sexuality and the women around him is deeply complex and largely informed by the world around him. He was a man quite literally hurt by traditional patriarchal norms and had lingering shame of his sexuality. "Sodomy" was technically illegal but rarely prosecuted. Wilde literally pursued a defamation trial when the affair he was having was easily provable. An incredible writer kind of a shitshow person.

Ehh, as long as women don't directly bother you with their distrust, I feel like you shouldn't be so upset over it.

I'm a dark-skinned person(my eastern European beauty standards). People think I'm a Romani woman. Such, they follow me in stores to check if I'm not stealing anything. I don't mind that. I understand that they have unfortunate events everyday, and while not every person who looks like me steals, 9/10 thieves look like me.

The only time issues arise is when they begin talking to me, wanting to check my belongings, treat me a certain way, etc. As long as they just take the precautions (follow me closely around the store), I don't mind. Just don't harass me when I'm trying to shop.

Horrors have actually happened in boy's locker rooms. Young men should be able to get together as long as they're supervised by an adult. Teenage boys do stupid shit.

As for trans people, there have been some really unfortunate events happening, and there should be some rules set in place. No one should be able to just claim themselves part of a group and intrude. At the very least make steps to be included in the group (hormones or whatever).

Not caring about someone's rights and actively rallying against someone's rights are very different things. Like if the government of my country suddenly decided that all men must work in mine without equipment i would have something to say about it. I would not vote for that decision. I can't say that I care about men's rights, but I do care about basic human rights. I would absolutely not take actions against men gaining rights or just keeping the ones they have now. If I had to vote pro or against having every child being paternity tested at birth I'd be pro, because it would help men but it wouldn't hurt anyone else.
