More importantly, how is "top 20%" defined because this sub has yet to come to anywhere near a consensus on where that line is.

The general answer to all these questions is about how much other people getting laid is..... likely less than some people seem to think.

Interesting data here. Roughly 40% report 10+ lifetime by ages 40-44. At ages 20-24, roughly 20% report 10+ partners.

Of course, these numbers are only really relevant to people who have/want casual relationships though.

As far as the practical application of this knowledge, I've never given a single iota of a fuck about how many partners any of my friends have been with.

Edit: Additional data, with medians shows averages around 6 for men and 4 for women for people ages 25-44. Based on the data, of US men ages 15-44, 20% have 15+ lifetime partners about, and that number has decreased since 2000.

The number of men who both would like to have that much sex and are also willing to put in the level of effort it takes probably isn't that huge. My boyfriend is 30 and very physically attractive, and his count is somewhere around the 150-200 mark. I understand that he considers this to be a lot lower than it could be. (From my perspective, this is accurate in the sense that he could easily have had a higher body count if that's all he focused on 24/7.)

However, in the five years we've been together (open ish relationship) he's had long periods of being "lazy" on this front (i.e., where he is quite content spending all his time with just me, or a guy mate). Some of you are completely delusional, I can gurantee that the body count of chads are way higher than 10-20. And it's not just chads that are getting these numbers, I know plenty who are just good at talking that have pulled at least 30.

On paper, I rank in the top 2-5% as far as height (6’4”), income (200+), career (physician) and even on something as subjective as facial attraction, 2 or 3 compliments a day on average. Most of the time, women hit on and approach me. Even when they are told that they are one of many, they double down and try to convince me that they are marriage material. IME, around 15.

I have a huge social net composed both by men and women of all ages. I've befriended men and women of all ages, and dated women as older as +18 years than me to (recently) 14 years younger.

I've slept with around 60 women (not counting escorts) who I've met more or less on personal level, and I would say my group of male friends and relatives is around 40 men from ages 18 to 50 (I'm 32).

This is, in my experience, how things work when it comes to N-count.

Women's N-count is more evenly distributed than men, and yes, MOST women have more partners than MOST men. I would out of 20 women 5 will have less than 3 partners by age 25, 12 will have around 8, two of them will have 10-14 and the last one +15.

Women with N-counts beyond +20 or +30 are extremely rare, as much as virgins. They are too few and innbetween to count them.

100 is def not the standard. 50 is high but some guys do get there. mostly because of a sex addiction or mental health issues instead of actually wholeheartedly wanting such high body count.

i’ve slept with a handful of both attractive and unattractive guys and i don’t think the difference in ”thotness” is huge there. i’ve talked to way below average looking dudes whose body count is 30+. then of course, some very attractive guys i’ve slept with almost gave me chlamydia so they’re really thotty as well.

Top 20% men can DEFINITELY easily get 50 bodies. My entire life I've been considered super conventionally attractive, but I've had low testosterone so I don't have the desire to chase women.

The number of women who have made passes at me obvious enough to pass for sex offers is insanely high though. I think racking up 100 bodies would have been really easy if I had been interested in it (I'm 31 now).

30 by age 30 -- 40 by age 40 -- and 50 by age 50 seems about right for a guy around the 85th percentile who's had some marriages and/or LTRs. That was pretty much my trajectory.

I'll say it is the same as the average or really low depending on if by top 20% you mean in looks or overall smv and also if you account for race.

If it is looks the it probably low(4) because most of the best looking men get taken from the dating market pretty quickly by highschool or college and stay together with their sweetheart cuz they are a hot item or they might only go for women in their looks range cuz men want attractive women.

For SMV, it is probably average(7) cuz the wealth gap for the top 20% of men isn't enough to attract women and their looks also won't be enough to pull really attractive women.

For race, SMV is the same as normal but in terms of looks I'll say black attractive men probably have a really high bodycount due to black people having really high body counts to start but for everyone else it is the same as the looks.

I think a lot of the guys in my extended friend group who are late twenties to mid thirties, and who weren’t married/engaged before 30, probably have numbers in the 30-50 range. This is not something often talked about in my social circle, so I’m guessing based on relationships they’ve had, people i know they hooked up with, and then assuming there were some hookups within those time frames i don’t know about. And then roughly extrapolating to include years before i knew them. These are not spectacularly good-looking guys, but they are all intelligent, charismatic, and fun. They are social but not into the “club scene” and certainly not pickup artist types. Most would usually prefer a relationship over hookups.

Obviously there are lots of great guys who got into LTRs early so i guess their numbers are a lot lower.

Now there were a few guys i swam with in college who had to have been >50, conservatively. (And some women on the team who i think had similarly high numbers.) College athletes at big schools are probably more like top 1% though.

Those kinds of numbers are a lot less frequent and a smaller portion of the male population than 20%, just like the other extreme, guys that can’t get laid. Both are very vocal, one group, because they like to brag, the other because they’re unhappy (to put it very very kindly).

90% of men and woman have just a few partners throughout their lives, hence the US averages of a little over 6 for men and a little over 4 for women.

Reality is, you’ll a very small % of the 90% majority in these forums, but a big % of the two extremes. So what’s discussed here and in other forums is mainly edge cases since the participants are heavily from the extremes and the main majority is not represented.

Coming to the youngsters (I’m a 50) when you hear more than one friend who says they’ve been with tens or hundreds, be real, more than likely they’re lying and/or exaggerating. Pretty sure if you asked around all your friends also have above average penises, which is again statistically speaking is impossible, just like so many of the, having as many partners as they say.

Now do I say it’s impossible? Absolutely not, there is a small % of the population (men and women) who get lucky and go through life with partner after partner. Looks, money, success etc rarely have an impact on who does, despite what seems to be the consensus for men here.

Charisma, confidence (without being an ass), humor, hygiene, culture all play a much bigger role.

I’m not a “chad” by any means. I’m short (5’6) and I’m not particularly good looking but I guess that in terms of lifestyle and social skills I’m above average.

Many of my “chad” friends have upwards of 100 N counts. I’m only in the mid 40s, but all the women I’ve hooked up with were really attractive and some of the women I’ve been in relationships / FWB type scenarios with I’ve had sex with literally hundreds of times.

Depends on how relationship focused he is/isn’t. I’ve met chads who have chosen to suppress their full power and only focus on monogamy (for the most part). For the more promiscuous ones, probably over 200 by the age of 30.

I know a man who is now in his 40s who claims to have a count in the hundreds although he's stopped counting now. I think his figures are plausible.

He has never online dated. All his conquests were met IRL.

He is quite nice looking although not model standard and not especially tall - about average height. These days he works out and has a nice body, but he's been slightly overweight in the past and it didn't seem to slow him down with women. He's probably top 20% now for his age group, but as a younger man he would be maybe average / slightly above average. But his success has been consistent since his teens.

The things that stand out that bring him success-

1) He is confident and charming in manner. When he meets a woman in person he finds it easy to talk to them in a non threatening manner and doesn't just lead with a pick-up line - he starts a genuine feeling conversation and will lead to that point later. He puts women at their ease.

2) He is relentless. He devotes a lot of energy to pursuing sex. He never, ever misses an opportunity to engage with women and some of that engagement yields results. He also isn't especially fussy about looks if it's purely sex, although his official girlfriends have all been good looking.

3) He has no morals whatsoever. Even if he's in a relationship with a woman he claims to love, if the opportunity to cheat presents, he'll take it

4) He's in a band that tours in Europe. Lots of opportunity to meet different women all the time. Lots of his opportunities come from meeting women at parties after performances. His band isn't a famous one, but the groupie effect is still apparent.

He is an entertaining and charming person. Funny, friendly. He's also a liar, a cheat and appears to have no conscience at all.
