I made a comment about this but thought it deserved it’s own post.

Women believe their degree, their career, how much money they make (or will make in future) or how smart they directly effects their value to men in regards to dating, relationships and marriage and think men are more attracted to them for those reasons.

Most men and all studies on the subject prove how little men care about any of those things.

Why do women think this?

Women think this because:

  1. Women have been told that men and women are equal and they’ve equated that to = “same”. They keep being told men & women should be doing everything the same, so it’s easy to see where this comes from.
  2. Women believe men think the same thoughts as them and desire the same attributes in a partner as they do (wealth, power, status from their accomplishments as men, in this context). Of course, men tell women what they want in a woman and women don’t believe it because they’re not men.
  3. (Enough) Men tell women what they want to hear to sleep with them.

E.g. Oh, I like that you’re smart with a degree (now let’s sleep together) or “Wow, I like an independant woman that’s accomplished (I hope she’s buying this because I can’t say I really just like her looks)

  1. Men can’t and won’t say they like a woman primarily for their looks and everything else plays minor roles, other than a woman’s attitude. So when the woman asks them directly, or friends or family asked what you like about them, no man, no matter how honest is going to say, “Well, I saw her across the room and I immediately loved how youthful and slim she was, then I saw her massive breasts and that just did it for me. I went over to talk to her and she was pleasant, sweet and she liked me so here we are.”

No man will ever say that. So what most men do say, “Oh, um yes, she’s so smart and accomplished and she really is independant, which is great” (we really don’t care).

  1. Women get told by their teachers in schools and their parents that they need to acheive academically and get a great job and careeer. Why? Because that’s their teachers job and they’re incentivised to motivate students to acheive, otherwise most girls would think, “why am I bothering with trying this much in school when I’m just going to get married and have children in a few years and probably never work again”.

Their parents are telling them because they don’t want to have to pay for their daughters later, they want them to have a career to “fall back on” as an insurance policy in case they remain single or behave badly where men keep dumping them or they keep dumping men and/or not getting commitment from men they want (because their standards don’t match their dating market value)

  1. Independance - Women get their degrees and their careers as an Insurance Policy so that they have a future income to fall back on if a man divorces/dumps them/or they dump the man when they’re no longer sexually attractive. They think men think independance (as a woman) is atrractive to men.

More women are implying this is why they want degrees/careers now. “Well, if a man leaves me, I’ll have nothing (what?) so I need a backup plan” implying that she can leave whenever she wants while sacrificing so much for that insurance policy.

(read: they need their own security plan in place in case the woman behaves poorly and they want to leave the man they’re with to go to another man and that man doesn’t want to commit. We know this is the case because 70%-80%+ of breakups are initiated by women).

  1. Governments and large businesses are incentivised to continue perpetuating this idea that men want women with a degree/career/money. Why? More tax dollars earned and higher GDP with the same amount of people (great for governments), Women are 80% of all consumer purchasers and women with more disposable income = more sales of products, More women in the workforce = More competition for the same amount of jobs = Lower Pay for those jobs (Great for Medium & Large businesses because they can pay their staff less).

  2. Women think it IMPROVES their likeliehood of marrying a man with the same of higher qualifications/money/career. Again, this is another case of women thinking men care that you have similar qualifications or money or a similar “high powered” career as them because they think men are looking for someone with the same level of ambition/money as us in a woman. For the vast majority of men, this doesn’t interest us or just repulses us. We want someone that’s the OPPOSITE of us and compliments things we can’t do.

Edit: These are the REASONS for why women THINK their degree/career/their money are attractive to men.

If you are a woman and don’t think or believe your degree/career/your money is in ANY way attractive to men - this post doesn’t apply to you.

If someone asks you as a woman, “What do you bring to a relationship with a man, and you find yourself answering, money, my career, my degree/job qualifications/status - then this is for you.
