This has been a big topic in the last few days here it seems

Lots of people are saying how you don’t owe anyone sex, how it’s not a right, etc.

I mean that’s definitely true in that you have bodily autonomy and rape is wrong and illegal. But that doesn’t mean that it makes you a good partner, or that someone is a bad partner for wanting it.

I have two main reasons for this attitude:

  1. In most cases, if someone knew they were going to get into a dead bedroom they would never enter into that relationship. If I knew my wife would do that I wouldn’t marry that woman, and I bet that’s true for most people.

  2. Assuming you’re in a normal relationship or marriage, you expected your partner to be exclusive with you and still do. How is it reasonable to withhold sex at that point? At least on a long term basis.

All I’m saying is that if someone is pissed off that they’re in a dead bedroom that’s 100% normal and reasonable. Nobody would be ok with that type of dynamic in any other area of life. If you want to be roomemates with someone why do you care who they gave sex with anyway?

I don’t believe in sex outside of marriage I’d say this is even more applicable to marriage
