When I proposed and got married, I wasn't thinking rationally about the highs and lows of my wife's body and how it would affect our sex life. I was at the top of the world with a massive friend group, women I was turning down to stay with faithful to my fiancé, etc. We were having consistent and wonderful sex every night, no questions asked.

After marriage and kids, the story is as predictable as any here. We settled into a routine, got pregnant, and the sex turned off like a faucet. We didn't really have sex until both of my kids were 2 and 4, she just told me she had no libido and it wasn't my fault. I hit rock bottom when one night I was so horny I couldn't sleep and I googled anything and everything

I tried bulking and cutting at the gym, getting into the best shape of my life. I'd plan dates and we'd have great meals and drinks. I took more ownership in the house, giving her a full weekend day off while I took the kids - our relationship became less 50-50 and more 65(me)-35(her) as I spent more time with the kids, handled all the dishes, yardwork, cleaning, and finances. None of it mattered. Every time i initiated, she just said she's not in the mood or I'd get a "maybe tomorrow".

After 4-5 nuclear fights, I finally just asked her if she thought we would ever have sex again and she said she prefers not to. I would totally understand if I had put on weight, lost my job, didn't help around the house, or was just a boring guy. But I had a good thing going and I knew it wasn't me.

I've read countless stories like mine online and almost every one of my friends with kids is in the same situation. No one's educating men on how women's libido changes over time, and it really bothers me.

That said, would you have ever gotten married if you knew how the sex can turn off like a faucet, and it can be entirely not your fault?
