There seems to be a sentiment that women who are in their 30s do not have many options when it comes to dating. But while I do think older women have less SMV than younger women I do think that the difference is greatly exaggerated by men who rely on such thinking as a coping mechanism for their current abysmal dating lives.

Women in their 30s have the option of dating men in their 30s, 40s even 50s (I think beyond the 50s most women will be too turned off and the relationship at that point would be purely transactional) it’s not like once women hit 30 all older men suddenly stop existing. Meanwhile most men in their 30s don’t want to date older women so they only have women in their younger 30s and mid 20s as options. Let’s put this in perspective a man who is 32 is likely not going for women who are over 35 and it’s unlikely he would date a woman in college so his options are realistically women aged 22-35. Meanwhile a woman who is 32 can date a man from 30-50 if she wants. The larger age bracket for women gives them more men as options then the men have of women and older men are more likely to play beta which is what most 30 year old women would be looking for anyways. We can all admit it’s much easier for a 32 year old woman to date a 48 year old man than it is for 32 year old man to date 23 year old woman. In fact the 48 year old will likely chase a 32 year old woman, hard.

I came to this realization because I have a coworker who is 35 she was telling me about a man who is consistently chasing her and telling her that he’s in love with her and the man is 43. The man also makes a very good salary (200k) but he’s not that good looking (edit: according to her I have never seen the man) and she’s not interested in him because of that. I will say that she is childless which maybe is a benefit to him I’m sure the 43-year-old man likes the fact that she doesn’t have any kids. But by RP rhetoric you would think the fact that she doesn’t have kids and is pushing 40 that she would actually be interested in the high earning 43-year-old man but she isn’t because he’s not attractive to her. This made me realize that wow even at the mid 30s age women have suitors and can still be picky. With that said I would add that she is very slim (no where near overweight), she’s got big blue eyes and she’s blond-ish so there’s that, but my point stands women definitely have options in their 30s especially if they are slim and childless.
