I don’t think guys dating sex workers are top 1% men but to say that sex workers only date losers is inaccurate as well. A lot of their boyfriends/husbands are simply more alternative types who have a different set of values than the average person.

As an example the one former OF creator I know got married to guy who works as a tattoo artist. He’s pretty attractive but he’s (probably) not wealthy and obviously not in a “prestigious” job either. However these guys aren’t looking for a “2.5 kids and a white picket fence” lifestyle (I’m fairly certain they’re both childfree anyway). The problem with red pillers (and people on PPD in general) is y’all can’t seem to understand not everyone measures happiness or success by whatever arbitrary standards the manosphere has set.

I mean, people can live their own life. As long as it doesn’t impact me, I don’t really give a shit. But I really don’t think this is a “manosphere opinion.” It’s a “literally every man I’ve ever talked to in real life” opinion. And that demographic ranges from lower class all the way to upper class, so I really don’t think I’m cherry picking.

That said, the only person I know personally implicated in this kind of situation is a single peripheral acquaintance who dated a stripper. And he was indeed a drug fucked loser. But what do I know, it’s not like I have this huge sample of strippers I know to poll.

I’ve gotta wonder though. Some guys (especially low value guys) get into “LTRs” with women they don’t see any kind of future with for easy access to pussy. Are these the kind of directionless LTRs these strippers and onlyfans girls are getting into? Because if so, that’s not an acceptable dating situation for any woman I know personally. If that’s their jam then fine, but that wouldn’t support the idea stripping has no impact on your dating prospects.

The point is that the biological defeatist neurosis that surrounds MGTOW is the same that surrounds your child-free movement. Trying to devolve the argument into the weeds of what is directly comparable to MGTOW, when I simply said MGTOW is more comparable to child free than a man preaching the value of a virgin wife, shows bad faith.

Probably something like admitting you're autistic.

I'd recommend putting that on your flair because there is a fine line between maliciousness and incompetence that gets further obscured by the internet.

The advice on your comment "I’m always interested in why people are so upset by childfree individuals. How does her position really impact you?" remains the same.

Don't use words to group others in with a bunch of people who have similar beliefs/etc. People like being treated as individuals. My beliefs are my own, not part of a collective.

Don't frame someone's mental state. You may be incorrect and people don't like being described as upset, even if they are.

Don't use patronizingly inflating words like "so" and "really" to add to emotionally suggestive statements. It makes you seem like you're exaggerating the other person's position to make the position seem ridiculous and untenable.

Also stop apologizing so much.

That's easily verified false just due to userbase of OnlyFans, compared to the general population of adult women in the US alone. If that's what you wanted to argue against, a clean line of logic works fine.

b) there are no statistics on relationship outcomes for content creators, so you would expect that someone claiming that these women have relationship problems should at least know some of these women personally.

While statistics is a valid way to back up an argument, it doesn't mean logic cannot be used to process the thought in lack of evidence.

An argument from anecdote, as Wikipedia has it listed, places undue weight on a peer being part of a group that is uncommon:

I like my own space, but not living alone, so before I moved in with my partner I always had roommates. I lived alone once before and hated it, even though I’m an introvert, I still want some people in proximity, I just also need to be able to be alone when I want to.

I have no problems now because I get along great with my partner, he’s also an introvert, and we have no issues if one of us says we need some alone time. We do have a 3 bedroom house, though, and even when we rented and first moved in together we had that as we specifically looked for a place with an office for me - it was actually harder before we moved in together because I was in an apartment and would sometimes keep him up when he stayed over while working since I didn’t have an office separate from my bedroom (I’ve worked from home for much of our relationship, and I’m a night owl so sometimes I worked weird hours). So now we share a bedroom, then use the other 2 as offices, and we have a den with gym equipment and entertainment center. So there’s always somewhere to go be alone if needed, and our offices are our own personal space we can do whatever we want with.

I love sharing a bed, it’s important to me for some reason. But we are friends with two couples who don’t - one they own one house but have their own bedroom and another they each own their own place.

It's not "my own space" that I miss so much. Probably because my husband and I aren't often home at the same time. I miss keeping certain things "my way" around the apartment, but I would miss eating with him and sleeping with him when I can WAY more if we lived apart. We just moved to LA, so I'd miss my money dearly trying to afford afford of my own. Honestly, we pretty much got married to live together. We're from the southern US- people are a bit more liberal now, but it would still be a "thing" in my family and my culture if I moved in with my first "real boyfriend" without marriage. We really wanted to live together forever, so we did it lol. I don't regret it, obviously. But if I was giving advice to a younger woman? I'd say you don't really know him yet until you live with him and you dig deep. Men can be literally scary good at keeping secrets. Mine is the fucking master, and I'm honestly just a naive little shill. I couldn't hide who I am if I tried.

Don't know if this is misogynistic or not, but I genuinely believe women are better at taking care of children than men are, and women are more in touch with their children's emotions and more willing to show empathy. Like if a child is crying, the mum will genuinely make him feel better, whereas the dad will be like "why are you crying? Boys don't cry." I think this plays a lot into gender roles and the role of the father and the role of the mother, and I think they have specific roles that can't be criss-crossed or interchanged. I think to a lot of people, that would be considered a sexist statement.

Like the whole traditional set up of the dad going to work and working hard to earn money, while the mother stays at home to take care of the kids. I think there's a reason for that, and that's not to devalue the role that either of them play.

But one F35-C can not only destroy N enemy non stealth planes per sortie (where N is the number of missiles the F35-C carries... obviously I'm discounting an IADS situation and mainly focusing on air to air), but also strike ground targets, perform SEADS missions, etc. The 5 years of training and $85m that an operational F35C requires multiplies the one human's ability to kill to the point where it's worth it.

I feel you have to have a certain basic level of disrespect for women to actually be the kind of guy who pursues random women. Like, think about it, when you cold approach a woman there's a high chance you're invading her personal space, you're putting her in a position she may be uncomfortable in, you're ultimate goal is just to use her for sex. There needs to be a basic level of selfishness and prioritising yourself over the woman.

A guy raised 100% on feminism would never do this. He would consider himself a misogynist who is invading a woman's personal space by doing it. He would have 0 success with women. It's debateable. The largest state in India with the highest population density and the lowest vaccination rates had relatively low covid positive rates with ivermectin. The problem with good statistics is it takes time, it needs objective and impartial participants and it needs to be replicated. I don't think we live in a world where the latter two are possible for ivermectin and covid with an extremely hostile media. Though Ivermectin is already is safe for human doses and has been for millions of africans since the 80's.

I object mostly to the language when people mention ivermectin in passing. It is not a horse dewormer, it was made for humans( see river blindness in Africa). Its inventors won Noble prize in medicine in 2015. It has saved millions of lives. Outside Africa, humans don't usually get worms, so this same medicine has been used effectively for deworming animals.

If you have been following people like Joe rogan, the propaganda gets more blatant. When Joe got covid, he never stated he took ivermectin, but always had an interest in talking about it. CNN went after him and ivermectin, calling it "horse dewormer" and it has stuck. He talked about other things being effective like monochlonal antibodies and NMN, but these two are not as cheap and readily available as ivermectin.

Yea, I don’t really see a contradiction here. It’s quite easy to say “women are bullshitting about what they like, but when you dig down and figure out what they do like, they only like a very small amount of men.”

It’s the responses that are kind of unwarranted. I get being mad about being lied to, but focus on 80/20. What the fuck is there to be mad about? Like so what if women only like 20% of men? What are you even going to do about it? If they don’t settle, “beta men get no love!” If they do settle, “they are using us for beta bux!” You can’t do anything, it’s not like we can rewire what women are interested in.

Just embrace the shit. Evolution collectively dealt us a shit hand. Hit the top 20% if you can, else beta bux it or drop out. What other options do you have, really?

I prefer a trust but verify strategy. Listening to her would be nice in theory, but if your false positive rate is higher than true positive on her word alone, it doesn’t count for a lot. I don’t mean to throw it in her face, especially without evidence to the contrary, but it’s still valuable to watch what a specific woman does.

I mean, take my example of muscle mass. My current girlfriend was one of the many women who told me to lose muscle initially. If I was wanting to cater my body to what she wanted (not necessarily something I’d do, but for sake of example), losing muscle would have been a mistake, despite what she told me. Turns out she actually likes when I put on more size. As much as she might have tried, she wasn’t able to accurately report what she actually wanted in a man’s physique.

I kind of doubt it, though I suppose it isn’t impossible. Covid basically caused me to lose and gain some muscle around the time we started dating, so I doubt the wife goggles would have taken hold at that point.

Basically, we started dating right when the pandemic started. Not too long into our relationship, I lost a reasonable amount for muscle during gym closures. Despite her saying so, never saw a positive change in how she treated me despite her commenting once the lockdowns started that I’d probably look even better if they made me lose a little muscle. If anything there was decreased interest.

Fast forward a few months and they reopen, I pack all the muscular I lost back on and a little more. She’s all over me, hanging on my arms, grabbing my chest, etc. I jokingly pointed this out to her after the fact, and she had no idea she was doing it, but admitted to recognizing it after I pointed it out.

Maybe I’m wrong and it’s wife goggles, but I’ve seen this play out multiple times, both with girls I dated and girls I was just friends with. At this point the consistency has me pretty well convinced most women don’t consciously recognize how much muscle they actually like.

I get what you’re saying, I guess I’m just skeptical that OLD data doesn’t show anything when we see how often it gets mirrored in so many other places. Chimps, bonobos, and aborigines (relevant links in comment) all show similar 80/20-Esque reproductive skews. That kinda tells me there’s some there there when we look at this OLD data.

I’m open to other data proving me wrong, but it seems to me like when we get a very similar phenomenon showing up in undeveloped human cultures and our nearest common ancestors, it is more parsimonious than take the data at face value rather than try to hand wave it with speculation about how men are bad at OLD.

The idea is tricky to study because we know women’s LTR choices don’t necessarily mirror what attracts them, but in the absence of better data, I’m pretty reluctant to throw this stuff out.

Haha, I'd be careful painting men in a negative light here, because the data says largely the same thing about women.

This graph is really the meat and potatoes of the data. There are a few other fun conclusions that you can tease out of you really dig into it, but the tldr: here is men walk in and go "I really want a hot, babe. And if she's kind smart and sincere, that's nice too." But they act is if they are thinking "yea, I do want a hot babe, but I'd prefer if she's fun, ambitious, and into me."

Meanwhile, women say "I really want a well rounded guy. He needs to be pretty cute, pretty smart, pretty sincere. Just an all around good guy," But then they act is if they are thinking, "I like hot, fun guys who like me too." In fact, the extent to which men and women value looks is basically identical.

Turns out, at base, most people are shallow. They do have some secondary considerations like the aforementioned ambition in men and fun in women, but looks are still easily the biggest factor for both sexes. Keep in mind, though, that doesn't mean the other factors don't matter at all.

Why rail agaisnt something when you have the literal physical and emotional power to only have sex with women who believe in abortion? Why rail when you can use condoms? Why rail when you can actually be a father?

You want to know the worst case scenario for a woman when she carries an unwanted child? She dies. The worst case for a man when he pays child support? His "precious genetic legacy" that men on this sub obsess over is carried on and the baby doesn't starve. Imagine that. Way different playing fields, you can't equate these things. Plus how easy it is just to have sex with women who are OK with abortion. It's not like women can determine "oh, I'll never be assaulted" or "oh, I won't get a medical condition thay puts myself and my baby in danger." But it's the easiest thing in the world for men to say "look, I'm going to wear a condom, and if it breaks I want you to have an abortion."

Granted, men can also be assaulted. I do think men should have rights in those cases. I don't think the entire reason for supporting abortion, however, should be "oh yeah now I don't have to pay for a kid with the women I fucked haha." Birth control and last-resort measures are not an excuse to be a deadbeat or a manwhore.

I've never gotten a girl pregnant and I've been very sexually active. So yeah, getting a girl pregnant means you're a fucking dumbass who refused to take precautions -- or, the woman lied to you about being on birth control in which case they should be imprisoned for fraud & rape (since stealthing is considered rape, baby trapping should be as well). But that's incredibly rare anyways.

And uh.. I am not in favor of banning abortion. I'm pro choice. So I'm not sure why you're screaming pro choice arguments in to the void here. Women should have the right to abort. I literally said that in my OP. But men should also have the right to cut all ties to a baby with the stipulation that they have no parental rights either. And guess what? Most wouldn't. Most men talk a big talk and then in the end actually want to see their child and it's worth it to them to pay the CS but see their child -- my very own father included. And I'm glad he did. I would fight as hard as I could for half custody if I had a child out of wedlock/if there was a divorce (with the side benefit that there's no CS with half custody, but irrelevant of that).

This is ENTIRELY unrelated to the fact that women have all of the rights and men have none of the rights when it comes to a pregnancy.

Both parties should have the ability to actively choose to care for or not care for the unintended child, whether that means giving it up for adoption, aborting, plan B, or cutting financial ties. Hell, women should be able to do the same if they have a child and don't want to take care of it but the man does. The woman should be able to postpartum financially abort without paying CS either if the man wants to take full custody. But that's not common.

Yeah, I don't have use for condoms and they are strongly not preferred. In my particular case, they are even a dealbreaker. But I'm glad they are an option, and they are preferable to bitching about paying child support.

I made pro choice arguments here (reluctantly, I might add) because your complaints about men "not having rights" don't really hold up as compared to abortion law. Women die when they have a pregnancy go wrong. Men have to pay a small percentage of their income in the hopes that their child won't survive. There's no way to make pregnqncy rights exactly equal, I suppose, and it is folly to try and force that.

If most men are OK with paying CS, then DON'T use that as an argument about abortion. Really. Remember, that was what you said in the original comment to which I replied.

Men's "reproductive rights" to their body are about equal with a woman's. The only reason it's OK for a woman to have an abortion is because her literal body is being used as an incubator. I guess men should have the right to choose adoption and giving up rights/responsibilities. I know men who would be better off doing that. However, I think that sort of contract can and should be drawn up before any potential pregnancy (consensual sex) occurs. If men have that luxury, they should take advantage of it for the good of everyone. For women, medical issues occur AFTER pregnancy and pregnancy can more often occur as a result of force. Women can't be required (is required the right word? I don't know, you get my point) to make those decisions way ahead of time like men can. That's not to mention that mant men who "are ordered to pay child support" are often delinquent, working under the table, or other arrangements like that. I'm sure the laws can use an update, but a blanket statement of "men don't have to pay child support if they don't want to" really doesn't cut it for me. Neither does being able to force a woman to have an abortion. Sign away your parental rights as soon as possible- preferably before even having sex to conceive. That would be fine, like a sperm donor- I don't have a problem with that. Exemptions for men who are assaulted or stolen from- I don't have a problem for that. As for morals and ethics: even if it's legal, you're still a douchebag if you sleep with a woman you aren't committed to and leave her and your child without any assistance.

Methinks if women made more than men and you were forced to pay CS or alimony your view would be a lot different.

No, not really. I think support should be determined based on relative incomes regardless of gender, but also that minimum required care for a child should be factored in. Marital contributions outside of earning income should be factored in.

Let's say for the sake of example, 60% of all students politically are on the left, and 40% are on the right. Now suppose that within a public school, 70% of all students are politically on the left, and 30% are on the right.

Suppose that in a private/charter school, it's flipped: 30% of all students are politically on the left, 70% are on the right.

Finally, let's say 85% of kids go to a public school, and 15% of kids go to a private/charter schol.

Then, using basic probability rules, the probability of a kid being on the left given that he/she is in a public school is equal to the probability that a kid is in a public school and on the left divided by the probability of a kid being on the left.

I.E. P(Left | Public ) = P( Left and Public ) / P(Public) = 0.70 / 0.85 = 0.82352941176 which is greater than 0.6, the proportion of all students who are on the left.

In other words, the presupposition (knowledge of the fact beforehand) that a kid is a public school influences the likelihood of his/her political leanings.

You can play around with the numbers if you'd like but the underlying point still stands.

I’ve heard several female friends of mine, or female friends of my girlfriend, complain about their male partners not popping the question or not bringing up the idea of marriage after several years of dating.

Whenever someone asks them if they’ve mentioned the topic to their partners or made their intentions clear (meaning that they’ve let it be known they eventually want to be married or that marriage is something they desire), the answer is usually no. Without getting into a debate about who should mention the topic first, it is puzzling to me that certain women expect it to just happen and are visibly frustrated despite never mentioning it to their partner.

On the other hand, I’ve had guy friends in LTR that 1) bring up marriage first without any hints/mention of marriage from their partners and 2) are comfortable in their relationships and are unaware that their LTR partners want to be married to them because the topic has never come up. I’m a believer in making your intentions clear about what you want, male or female, but it’s still puzzling to me.

All feminism aside, it's the fundamental romantic/erotic dream of most women to 'be chosen' by a man who has many options. The proposal is the culmination of this process. A guy should know the woman he is with. If she is typical, and marriage is on her mind, do not fucking waste her time or good years. And do NOT make her be the one to have to bring up marriage or nag you about it. Be a fucking man and decent human about this. If you know she wants marriage and you do not and will not, then fucking leave. If you can't live without her and she desires marriage, then man the fuck up and take charge. Don't be permanent GF/BF. Tell her you want to marry her and propose. The more old fashioned you can manage, the better.

I have honestly seen how a guy not handling this shit well does permanent damage to a relationship that perhaps can never be undone. Guys who ended up married, but made her initiate and nag him into doing it. There was always this 'wound' because he hadn't made her feel chosen and special by initiating marriage talk.

Women can meet a man's need to feel desired by initiating sex frequently and by being enthusiastic in bed. With some compliments here and there.

The asking out and proposing marriage duties are manly ones usually.

I get that dating and relationships are complex in 2021. But this isn't really rocket science in 90% of cases. Know your woman. It really isn't that hard to figure out if she is an exception. Most of the time, if you are living together for a couple of years she would like a ring. Even today.

I think the age old truth is still essentially true most of the time today: when you are permanent live togethers, the man is still thinking/hoping he can do better while happy to be living together for the ready access to sex and other benefits it provides. He's selfishly wasting her best years for his own pleasure and convenience.

I think establishing a timeframe is key too. If you and your partner mention the idea of marriage in the first year of the relationship without mentioning any timeframe, you really can’t be upset when it hasn’t happened after X amount of years.

It’s like a couple saying they want to get married “one day”, or in a few years, or at some point, and then several years pass by with nothing. It’s all about communication.

Two friends of mine:

Couple A - Together 5 years. Discussed marriage in the first year. Guy says he’d definitely like to get married someday and the woman says she’d like to be married eventually too, in a few years or whenever she is “established” in her career. 4 more years have gone by and the woman has said nothing to her partner since the initial conversation, but she’s expecting a ring that’s clearly not coming. “He’ll do it when he’s ready”, she says, while several years have gone by and her frustration is growing. They’ve moved in together, gotten a pet together, and the guy is basically coasting at this point.

Couple B - Together 4 years. Woman brings up marriage in year 1 and says that ideally she’d like to married within a year of them moving in together. Guess what happened? They move in together in Year 3, have another conversation about marriage, and the guy proposes within a year of them living together.

Sorry for the long winded post. I think some people don’t discuss it due to pride or not wanting to come off as desperate.

you're misunderstanding. it's not about living conditions, it's about the moral principles of the legal system. Zyra brought up a case where the legal system prioritized the rape accuser over the accusee and an injustice was done. The West chooses to err on the side of injust imprisonment.

There exists an alternative, the historical West and the modern Orient. These legal systems largely overlook rape, as to not punish men.

My point was only that in the case of rape, a legal system chooses to prioritize either women/accusers or men/accusees.

You cannot do both, which I'm sure is the answer we all want, because there will always be cases of uncertainty, as is the nature of evidence and court, but a judgement must be passed.

While I think there’s a little truth to the whole niche thing, I think people often overestimate how much dating within a niche is a product of taste rather than just proximity. I’ll illustrate with a totally useless personal anecdote:

There were two girls that I knew in college that were friends with each other. Both were very attractive and got a lot of interest from guys, but had very different personalities. One girl was very loud and boisterous. Kind of a party girl. Your typical extrovert. Perhaps not surprisingly, she married a professional athlete. The other was more quiet and bookish. Smart, wanted a career in stem, soft spoken. And she married… a professional athlete.

It’s easy to look at sorority chicks getting with frat boys, doctors getting with nurses, athletes dating each other, etc. and conclude it’s their niche shared interests were what drew them together. There’s some of that, but I cant help but notice that the women that get their pick of the litter seem to consistently go for the same characteristics in men regardless of their own personality or the man’s. The niche appeal just doesn’t seem like it’s worth all that much a lot of the time.

I think that's it from me.

I have been trying so hard to change things, but i have yet to see any positive result.

I gave my best to better myself, and have come so far, yet it feels like it's never enough and also it's drifting further away everyday.

Finally accepted individual endeavor is useless when today's hyper consumerist culture doesn't want or need you.

For each day feminism becomes more mainstream, one more dude like me gets eliminated from dating scene. It's time to accept that feminism got us with its vengeful deeds. Companionship is no longer basic humane experience. That'll be a privilege only 20% of men and 80% of women have.

We still have videogames and porn until the time those will also be taken away somehow.

Mmmm id say its not nearly as binary. Its also kind of like how you can have a good girlfriend or a shitty girlfriend. Also, there are sbs who are genuinely attracted to their SD, and some others who are at least partly attracted to their sds. Theres a lot of subtleties that arent apparent at first glance too.

In the "perfect" sugar relationship, for the guy, youre dating a hot girl half your age, who is exclusive with you, is actually attracted to you, fucks whenever you want, and puts on the perfect girlfriend facade, or can even have genuine feelings for you.

Not saying all or most sugar relationships are like that, but some are, and some while not to that perfect are level pretty good.

Also, a lot of times sbs come out costing less than a typical prostitute and are far less used as well. Oh yeah and sbs are way more likely to do unprotected with you, and it wouldnt be nearly as dangerous cuz most arent fucking 100 dudes a year or anywhere near that. Theres definitely sbs that are mostly just like any other college girl and way less "dirty" than a lot of vanilla girls youll find on tinder.

Anyways, it can be hit or miss, just like vanilla.

I agree that the six week ban makes it prohibitively difficult for many women to get abortions, especially since most women won't even find out that they're pregnant until around six weeks. See how easy it is to criticize this law while using precise and accurate language? When you use words that are inaccurate it makes you seem dishonest, like you don't know what you're talking about, or like you have to exaggerate to make it seem worse than it is. "Outlawed" is a word with a very specific meaning, and it does not apply here. I don't appreciate being called a liar for using accurate language.

As for Mississippi, I hope you're also critical of the abortion laws in Austria, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Macedonia, which all ban abortion earlier than Mississippi's 15 weeks.

no kind of compromises in the process of the patriarchal clout overthrowing. They believe that's the root of resolution of the majority of the issues that women face and do not water down this objective through mindless intersectionality (albeit, in part it still persists).
Also, they do not indulge in harboring ideas such as that female sexual freedom and the plans of empowerments in that aspect have been subtly shaped in vein of the patriarchy and thus there is no real liberation for women since they are constantly bombarded with subliminal concepts by society by which the notion of "whoring yourself out" (through uber sexualization in online spaces and not only) isn't capitalistic motto of exploitation which panders to male sensibility but rather your own and as much as possible unbiased and unfiltered choice, which is probably not.

Obviously, I personally don't really agree but I find this cool regardless
