Man the engineering field is really savage when it comes to dating in the work place. So every engineering company has a finance department and this is where 90% of the women are located besides HR. It’s just funny because none of us engineers should really be in there space but because that’s where all the baddies are it’s typically crawling with engineers trying to chat them up lol.

When I was taking the one girl out on a date, our old af coworker got her phone number from someone and asked if she wanted to come out for lunch. My female friend whose also an engineer who id say is a 5 in the face but has a fat ass and the only female engineer in the department who isn’t 35+ is fresh meet in the office.

We started at the company around the same time but she’ll just drop name co-workers that I have no clue who they are and it wasn’t until recently I understood why. I have many talents. But there is one that I’m the most proud of.

I can drive a cycle without my hands. Like not for a few second but like for a long time, I can handle speed bumps, I can use my body weight to turn the cycle around on quite steep turns.

It’s quite impressive to be able to go at fast speeds on a cycle like that. Feels so cool. I can take my phone out of my pocket, read, listen to music and wave my hands around. It’s fun too!

The first evening after setting up a Christmas tree and having all these lights sparkle. The feeling of sand between your toes getting washed away by the ocean while the salty wind in reaching into your lungs. And many many more.

All these little happy moments are what matters the most to me. We need to focus more on these. What's your favourite cozy/happy moment?

I went on a date last night and as per usual, I always like asking about their past relationships early and upfront. Most of these women mention that the men they see have kids and this is important because it's sort of shows how women are way more interested in men with kids than men are in women who have kids. It seems like most women just end up with guys who are pretty established in one way or another. I always feel like the rookie when I hear about these guys because all I do is go to work and sleep, yet these other guys apparently have so many options they can treat women like crap and ghost them whenever - I couldn't fathom treating women this disposable especially as I'm just getting back out into the dating scene with very little options and no prospects for other ones without coming off more like an attractive Bachelor. Right now I'm about the equivalent of the comic book guy from Simpsons on the dating scene, except I'm funnier and slightly less annoying.

All this talk of hypergamy though makes me realize that not everyone is as hypergamous as the next. Just like some women don't have crazy height requirements, some women just aren't that hypergamous. They will date whatever decent option comes along as long as they click with them, and they don't sit around trying to find reasons to dump the guy. This is probably most women but we hear so much about hypergamy probably because those guys are going after the most attractive women out there. Those women were always going to be picky.

SEA update:

Went to an italian resturant with a Russian girl where we spoke spanish in the phillipines. Now doesnt that sound interesting 🤣

showing love and being in healthy relationships isn’t as much “hard work” as people make it out to be. conflict and disagreement is normal, but to some extent, showing love and affection and enjoying who you’re with should be the path of least resistance, not something you have to slave yourself to. if it’s that difficult to love who you’re with, maybe you’re just with the wrong person or you need emotional healing.
