I would suggest having some such men in your life if you like the aesthetic, but predominantly at an arm's length, only making an exception if you meshed well with one's personality for a long period of time (probably years). If you're already in an LTR, this goes for other women reading this.
Dudes already more readily do this, both gay and straight, since we're more casually attracted to (usually way) more people, we get more used to understanding that someone we're highly attracted to is often a bad serious partner prospect. Ladies seem to struggle with it much more, but it benefits you guys too.

In my opinion this is one area where trp ideology goes into a bit of it's own inaccurate ideology.
All of the attractive women I've known ended up with skinny guys. All the players I've known were skinny guys - sometimes just skinny, sometimes skinny and in good physical shape, but never "serious lifter" physiques.
I've known a couple of the lifter guys, the girls they date are not as attractive as the girls the skinny guys date.
And I thought "well maybe it's just me or something" but if I go walk around in the summer it's the same thing - bodybuilder guys looking like they're dating the less attractive women.
Dunno where this whole idea came from.

I think an important takeaway is that it's good to regularly exercise, but don't go for all bulky muscles unless you're doing it for yourself. When I exercise, it's maybe like 15% for the ladies, 85% for me.

In spite of that chubby men can still find a date, especially if they have some other desirable qualities like height or status. But we are talking about what is considered attractive. Just because you can overcome the burden of being fat doesn't mean that's desirable in a man. But for women being flat or being apple or whatever shape is not necessarily a burden to begin with. You need to have a .7 waist to hip ratio, the rest is accepted.
Even if you are chubbier, as long as that ratio is maintained, large numbers of men will find you attractive.
Thankfully, that is mostly a weight issue. The variance is in how easy it is to get said ratio. Some will have it even if they are 40 pounds overweight, others cannot be a pound overweight.

Some guys don't need to find a woman that physically attractive to sleep with her. If this meme was honest about what men like instead of just what they would fuck, it would be slimmed down to: skinny, fit and thick, and they would all have an hourglass figure which only 8% of American women have in real life. The meme also uses multipel pictures of women for the same type of body which makes the pool look bigger. There are many stages between the middle and right guys whos bodies are also liked but they slimmed down the amount of pictures for emphasis to be funny.
Obviously women have some male bodies they think look nicer than others but the scope is wider than this meme because women don't value the naked male body's fat and muscle distribution for attractiveness as much as the way men do to women. In terms of what Girls notice appearance wise, stuff like hair face and style matter more than the amount of muscle he does or doesn't have. To me, all men look better with clothes on than off.
Now if the meme was about height instead of just fat and muscle distribution then there would a variety of body shapes (skinny like a Timothée challamette, fit but lean, fit but Kindy bulky, and average) but all taller and have brouder shoulders than the average women (shoulder wise, the average man fits fine). A tall skinny guy with average shoulders does not feel as large as the bodies of the men in the right and left photos, but I shouldn't have used the word big to describe what a lot of women don't like in men as the word is too broad. I just menat big in terms of muscle and fat, sorry.
I guess my point is, not many women would be picked solely for their body if all men had plenty of options. Only the hourglass ones which is a tiny percentage. Women have more varied tastes than you’re giving them credit for. Like, come on, at bare minimum, how on earth have you not noticed that skinny rock stars and pretty boys get laid like tile?
Loads of women really don’t need the big dehydrated steroid bulky cut look in dudes— to a large extent, the biggest fans of really muscly cut dudes are men. In general, a healthy dude who does some exercise or labor (so he’s not skin and bones), with shoulders broader than his waist and hips is probably gonna be fine body-wise.
But also, this framing is really kinda more how men view women. Men are the ones who have this whole “butter-face” thing they’ll do where they kind of mentally decapitate the woman to consider only her body attractive. Women tend not to be able mentally chop men into separate pieces to find just a few parts of them attractive. Talking about “bodies women like” without caring about the rest of the dude doesn’t really align with how women’s sexuality usually works.
Women generally don’t see a guy’s body as hot separately from his face and how he moves and how he smells and how he sounds and his vibe/attitude very well. First off, most men would call the women on the bottom row fat, at least the ones of the right half. Second, no apple-shaped or flat-chested women are pictured. They all have defined waistlines and most have average to big boobs, many of them fake. Men like either skinny women with a defined waist or curvy but not overweight women with big boobs and ass. So about the same level of variation as the men. The only fairly “average” bodies pictured are 15-19, and I don’t think men are that attracted to any of them. I mean yes they’ll stick their dick in anything but they will also find flaws in a supermodel.

I'm new around here, but based on my subjective experience, that's bullshit.
I'm an extremely hairy, slightly pudgy dude with twig arms and a round face who likes video games, comic books, pro wrestling and other nerd shit. I have never been to the gym in my goddamn life, I drink too much and eat a lot of cheese and it makes me gassy. My home has always been a pigsty. I have terrible fashion sense, like it's hilarious how poorly I pick clothes. While volunteering at a charity event, I asked the organizer what she wanted me to do and she told me her boss said to tell me to just try not to be "sweaty and weird' and I was like, "well, I can't make any promises." I usually forget to brush my teeth before bed. I have awful skin, like something is always pimply or rashy. I have a beard and usally don't groom it well. Did I mention I am hairy? It looks like I have a sweater on when I take my shirt off. Front and back. I've never had any muscular definition.
I'm clearly not any of those guys and never have been. I stopped dating in my early thirties; it seemed like everyone was settling down and I decided I was happier in my mess of a house with my Funkos and my dog. I lost my virginity at 19 so I was sexually active for about 12-13 years, although I took a break from dating for a little over two years after college because I had kind of a traumatic relationship around that time. Then I met a nice girl in a diner on vacation and while we didn't hook up or get involved then, I realized I wanted to date again and made an Okcupid account. All told I was dating and sexually active for maybe 9 to 10 years of my life. Primarily the last five years of my twenties.
All of that leads up to, despite being a very average looking guy, I could not tell you how many women I've slept with. I just lost count I'm honestly not trying to brag as with age and experience I sort of regret some of those encounters, I'm just saying I never had any trouble getting dates or laid when I was trying to even though it would not be out of the realm of possibility that I might be mistaken for an out of shape sasquatch if I walked through the woods shirtless. For most of the latter half of my twenties, I had a date every weekend, sometimes more than one, a few more serious semi open relationships that were emotionally meaningful and might have gone somewhere further if I had wanted kids and several recurring hook up buddies. I dated women of all sorts of backgrounds, ethnicities, body types, backgrounds and politics. Hell, I even had a short fling with the girl from the diner but we weren't compatible. I'm still in touch with most of the women who I saw more than a couple of times and most of them have gone on to be a lot more successful than me, lololol.
Plenty of women were evidently attracted to me, and I've never been muscular or particularly manscaped (quick courtesy trim on date night since I'm a hairy dude and maybe certain things might end up in someone's mouth is all I ever did) or even very handsome. Frankly, I'm kind of a mess and always have been lol.
So that meme is complete bullshit in my experience. Women and men are attracted to a wide range of humans.
Mostly people are attracted to people who they trust, have fun being around and who treat them like a human being. It can't be forced, you just hang out and sometimes it clicks for both of you and sometimes it doesn't. It's not rocket science, it's dating. Just don't take it so seriously, let the people around you be people and remember to laugh

So about a 60% greater likelihood of men to be single compared to women (regarding the 18-29 y/o age group)
I also can’t find the 70% number from the chart you’ve stated but I think you’re referring to the GSS survey, and that talks about sex within the past year, of which it’s clear that women are having more of lol. Women are more than twice as likely as men (55%) to have had sex within the past year amongst those aged 18-30. Overall it’s clear that women 1) have an easier time in the dating market, 2) are more promiscuous than men. And this is despite other data showing that women rate the average man as below average in terms of looks; this means women’s standards are higher than that of men’s and are still getting what they want with those higher standards/expectations more so than man. Despite this, they also say that dating has gotten harder now than in the past 10 years at higher rates than men; this is likely due to their unrealistic standards.
Conclusion: women are delusional.

BMI is a crude back-of-the-envelope approximation of body fat percentage that epidemiologists invented because all the do is churn numbers. Perhaps, but I'd say less than women, that would be my take. I think it's more of a deal breaker with women rather than men.
Often, we're required to be fun to hang out with, have a good sense of humor, bring happiness etc...and tbh, they're all for good reasons. I completely understand why those traits are valued.
But, mental illness stick with people often for long, sometimes for life, it's not something you can snap out from. Even mentioning mental illness and emotional vulnerability in men will cause people to burst laughing at you
I know. I have depression (on meds but not SSRIs). It’s awful. I have had it for life; I will have it for life.
I’m a little older, but those were all complaints about women too. Guys didn’t want to be around a woman who moped, who wasn’t highly social, who cried. And I get that too. Those things bring you down. They’re exhausting.
My therapist always said men usually come to see him when they reach a crisis point; women see him earlier on. I think more men should seek treatment for depression. We shouldn’t stigmatize it. It turned my life around.
