As much as I think this whole “pornsick” and “nofap” mantra is cultish and dumb, this argument is just inaccurate.

There has been the saying “no matter hot she is there’s a guy somewhere tired of fucking her” out there for decades for a good reason.

Guys tend to seek sexual novelty by nature and porn appeals to that.

Still, porn can be (and usually is) used in healthy doses to stimulate and satiate at times but the minute you’re dependent on it and using it as a substitute it can become a problem.

When it is an occasional indulgence it’s no problem whatsoever, when it’s an addiction or escape mechanism it’s a big problem (like many other things)

Now, no doubt in my mind many of the marshmallow shaped FDSers are blaming porn for all manner of difficulties which more likely boils down to them being insufferable and/or unattractive boner killers, but the fact is - even the hottest women have boyfriends that use porn if they are fiending for some novelty fantasy like threesomes or throat fucking and their girl doesn’t do those.

Personally, I heavily restrict my porn use when I’m in a relationship, not because i feel it’s “morally wrong” or destructive but more because when I’m having sex with somebody regularly I want to make it as good as possible and overuse of porn can simply make real sex less intense and sexy which isn’t fair to the girl.

This is not even remotely true. Porn addiction has very little to do with attractiveness and everything to do with the fact that porn is a supranormal stimulus (an exaggerated form of reality) that, in some ways, is better than actual sex.

But, addictive behaviors ramp up. What was once arousing will become tedious with repeated exposure -- especially if you use porn frequently. And men who could once orgasm from an image of a clothed, suggestively posed attractive women, may soon find that they can now only orgasm with images of hardcore penetration. And, those images will ramp up too. It is a common experience for porn addicts to seek out newer and newer stimulus that may never be achievable in real life. Public sex, threesomes, extreme BDSM, hentai, strange situations, orgies, gangbangs, cuckoldry, incest, are all common in porn but rare in reality. And, if that becomes your standard of stimulation, reality won't make the cut.

From a women's perspective, men who watch porn a lot tend to have unrealistic expectations of sex and poor communication skills during sex. Which obviously leads to them being poor sexual partners but it can also result in them not asking for consent before doing things that have been normalized to them through porn, like slapping or anal.

Porn is fine in moderation, but it becomes a problem when men grow up watching porn and rely on it for a sexual education.

EDIT: I think OP may not realize that attractive women are rejected for porn too. As porn can genuinely be addictive, and is a much easier source of pleasure than sex. Pornsickness applies to porn addiction. It’s an addiction like any other addiction. I’d suggest looking into personal accounts of people struggling with porn addiction to get better insight. If someone is an addict, the attractiveness of their partner won’t result in them dropping it cold turkey. Just like with many other addictions relationships can be torn because addicts may believe a relationship can save them but that’s far from the truth.

I would argue that’s it’s a concern of insecure women. If your SO looks at porn but isn’t physical with you then you might think your partner isn’t attracted to you. I don't know man. I understand why women don't like porn when it has a negative impact on the relationship. But that's more unusual than people think. When done with a healthy mind, it's no problem. The same as someone who drinks, it's not usually an issue for most people.
