I was reading a post on this sub in what men find attractive in women and the overwhelming response was just 'shorter than me, not obese, cute face'.

Growing up, I remember being fed the lines, 'boys only like skinny girls who still have curves and you need to look like this and this to impress them'. Then growing up into my early 20s, it seems like women are the pickier sex.

Has most men's taste in women always been this simple and bare minimal? Or is it the increased competition amongst the bottom 80% of men trying to scramble for women that caused them to not be picky?

Is this reflective of most men in society, outside of Reddit?
