Every young man I've ever met seems to think that one day they'll be fabulously wealthy, regardless of whether they actually add value to the world or not. As delusional or not as that thinking may be I think its the source of a lot of men's vitriol towards "baby trappers" and "gold diggers"

One place where this is seen is with child support. The idea that a mother deserves wealth just cause she got knocked up by a wealthy man is ridiculous to some, yeah he should support his child and if she has primary custody then she shouldn't be living in squalor but living in ridiculous wealth, that she hasn't worked for, rubs some the wrong way. See Brittany Renner or The 2nd verse of one of the GOAT songs

I think one way to fairly split the difference is having a child support cap of say $80,000 a year. That way one can budget child support into his retirement amount, and if he's sufficiently wealthy he could create a trust with 1.45 million spread out over 18 years. This is reasonable for housing, childcare costs, a college fund etc. But it wouldn't make one ridiculously wealthy.

So you fuck a billionaire its $80,000 a year. Successfully steal Drake's sperm, 80,000.

Anyway thoughts? I wonder how different people would view this. Number too low too high? Unfair? Fair?
