Why do men tend to have a more varied taste in the opposite sex?

Sometimes when you bring up the fact that women universally prefer the same type of guy (tall, muscular, wide frame, etc.) they'll try to counter this by saying something like "oh, well, all men desire slim blonde women". They don't lol. There's so many dudes with completely unique tastes. Some men are fine with both short and tall women. Some men prefer slim women, some buxom, some muscular. There are men out there who are attracted to women with deep voices that wear summer dresses. Whatever type or feature on a woman you can think of, there are some men who would go "oh la la" over it. I rarely see this happening with women. If you don't already fit their prebuilt type, you're out of the game for good.
