Decided to put some general musing and snarky commentary about thinks I've discovered post divorce. Maybe it will turn into a series

One of the things that throughout my marriage was stated often, "It's so hard doing all the housework". Like an idiot I believed this... to the point I even got a cleaning service so the missus could be even more lazy. Sigh

It's a curious chain reaction is it not? The reason I paid for a cleaning service was because a mutual friend. The mutual friend (Sally) was the wife of an old school engineer type who bought her whatever she wanted. Of course this was Sally's second marriage... I should have realized then sigh.

So I got my wife a cleaning service. Wife was happy (or seemed to be). Sally said "Oh you really love your wife" and some other nonsense I ate up.

Anyway wife had more idle time on her hands. And as you know idle female hands is the devil's hand job waiting to happen.

But the realization post divorce is that, ya know house work is not that much work these days. As I speak I have the dish washer and washer doing their things. All I had to do is get up put stuff in said devices. And let them do their thing. Same thing with vacuuming and mopping (with swifter ftw).

So getting back to that devil's hand job problem:

It is quite possible that ONE of the real reasons that women these days are so unhappy is that THEY literally have TOO MUCH idle time.

I've heard it stated that women by nature need chaos and drama as a psychological need. And if the man does not provide this, welp the woman will create it for both the man and the woman.

obviously the answer is to get the missus to have a job outside the home, so she has less time for Devil's Hand Jobs... what do you think?
