My friend who is not on FDS (that I’m aware of) told me she doesn’t want kids with her fiancé because she doesn’t think he’d help her out enough. She’s already paying off his debts and putting her savings down for a house, while he contributed bare minimum financially. She already does most the housework. So she decided she didn’t want his kids all on her own without FDS there to help her, despite wanting kids all her life.

But this is just fundamentally something wrong with women, right? The other sex does not factor into the equation AT ALL 🙄

I think that nowadays the only women who will have 3-5 children in good conscience (and because it’s 100% their choice) are extremely privileged.

When you think of money, childcare, extra chores alone, it’s massive.

On top of that you have to be very healthy to go through that multiple times.

Also, most women I know actually do give a crap about things such as climate change, the changing political climate and uncertain future and take this into consideration as well before they mindlessly plop some children on this Earth.

Put all these things together and add the fact that most men are at best MVM who only help a bit with the child rearing and chores, and it’s no wonder the birthrates everywhere are dwindling.

More and more women opt out, not because they’re mentally unstable, but because they now have the power to choose. And they choose wiser.

Weird take on this, I actually hate the phrase "want babies". Babies grow up, they're only undeveloped enough to have complete control over until they start crawling.
