Today, women are privileged over men. Women have more legal rights than men, they benefit from affirmative action, quotas, institutional discrimination and simple bias in their favor in things like hiring decisions, landlords renting properties, police deciding who to arrest & prosecute, etc.

Feminists know they are lying and that women are privileged. The entire purpose of feminism is to entrench and extend women's privileges, benefits and special treatment. So they react violently to anything that threatens that outcome. Such as people speaking the truth and citing facts.

It's not about ego, it's about my basic dignity as a human being. Feminists can deny it all they want but feminism in itself as a movement bases its ideological beliefs in the notion that men were fundamentally oppressing women throughout history, and that men historically were a "privileged" class. This makes it clear to see that the driving narrative of feminism is not justice or equality, rather it's victim mentality and the desire for revenge and superiority. This would explain why despite claiming equality, in over a 100 years since its creation, feminism has done NOTHING good for men and has actually severely harmed them in some fields.

Following up on my previous point, this is why whenever you try to implement true equality where the burdens are placed equally on both genders, you hear the feminists screech to no end and keep whining about the "protection of men" and "where have all the good men gone". They claim that men feel threatened by equality while you'll see them absolutely shitting their pants and resorting to all manners of manipulation from acting like damsels in distress to outright rage and abuse anytime actual equality is discussed as evidenced by this 👇

What is threatening is the normal grind, drive, study and endeavour to succeed is replaced with quotas, tokenism and women really just being gifted power positions based on gender.

If women succeeded in the same terms it would be perfectly ok but when they change the rules so that it benefits only them it is at the expense of everyone. People who are gifted power end up abusing it and I have encountered a lot of women given token power positions who end up bullying other women. In addition power and social status don’t benefit women the way it does men because they only want to date / marry up so they end up alone and no children ie more population collapse, civilization ceases.

The quote comes from an MRA on usenet during the 1990s.

It's actually men who first said this about women, not the other way around.

Another popular quote was "equality is a bitch".

There's some history there but the TLDR is that women started complaining about things that men have always had to deal with (like working a double shift), and men largely responded with "that's not oppression, that's equality".

Kind of to point out that men don't always have things great the way women assume.

- We live in a world where mothers/fathers raised little boys to "not hit a girl", but the other way around is almost unheard of. That explains why in many young couples, according to statistics, boys are more likely to suffer from physical abuse than in more older couples.

-We live in a world where despite there being fewer male-exclusively organizations, there are A LOT of female-exclusively organizations. And in fact, former male organizations are allowing women to enter their institutions, but the reverse is inexistent.

Examples: boy scouts, literary or any other artistic prizes, universitie/colleges, etc.

-We live in a world where women's gender issues are taken seriously, even though they aren't actually real (Wage gap, rape culture, matilda effect, etc).On the other hand, male
gender issues are unspoken or treated as general issues (majority of homeless people, suicide, school failure, etc). And if movements like feminism speak of these, they only do when it's convenient for their personal interests.

-We live in a world where if a woman does something bad, is seen as an isolated case and we all know that "not all women are like that". If a man does something bad, this immediately means the demonization of an entire collective by social and traditional media. One issue is that "feminism" has changed. 50-100 years ago, it was about equality before the law. Many men worked hard to move both the law and the culture to make that a reality.

Today, it seems to me (and many others) that "feminism" is more about punishing men for the mistakes of the past. It's more about making women superior before the law and in society. For a cultural example: look how hard Luke Skywalker had to work to achieve his power in the original Star Wars trilogy. From 1977 through to 1980, three movies. Compare that to Rey in 2017's The Last Jedi. Life was tough then BAM, she's instantly the most powerful Jedi in existence. In the law: look at family courts, the entire Human Resources movement in business, etc. There's no equality in either case, it's all misandry.

Then there's the concept that there is no definition of "man" or "woman" as we've seen in Congressional investigations. If you say that a man can't get pregnant, your are committing violence against thousands of people you've never met. That's an off-shoot of feminism.

In short - no man has a problem with equality in law, and as much equality as possible in society...but when a movement is based on punishing or attacking a group, that group does not have to like it. The way things were might have been wrong, but two wrongs have never made anything right.

The way I look at it, modern feminism is hell-bent on making men subservient to women. I'm not physically scared of 99% of biological women but I do recognize the power every single one of them holds in the legal system over me (a white-passing, hetero male), and it makes me more worried than scared.

edit: Women are full-fledged citizens now. Enjoy all the perks that come with making your own way in the world. Shame to watch people still resorting to exploiting their gender because it offers a higher rate of pay than normal jobs and there is no barrier of entry but hey, $20 is $20

I think they're right, too the privileged, equality feels like oppression... which is why they always feel oppressed. So to counter this one must take their feelings out of it and compare on gender neutral metrics.

Why has the right to genital integrity? Who has the right to choose NOT to become Parent? Who has the right to vote without signing up for the draft? Who has default custody in divorce? Who has an easier time getting a conviction of the other? Who, when convicted, receives a lesser punishment?

If you want to measure the differences between the sexes, you have to use measurements that don't recalibrate between the sexes.

Its literally a non-falsifiable claim. We haven’t achieved equality so how would we know? More importantly, this is not a substantive argument. You can simply ask them “do you feel oppressed right now?” and one way or another their argument will unravel.

Whom is the one that decides who is 'privileged'
I'll give you a hint.. its the feminist.

They are ASSUMING that because of factors beyond your control (Race, Gender and ASSUMED Sexual Orientation) that you are 'privileged' and thus any rebuttal on your part is because you don't want to give up your privilege in the name of equality.

I've met many feminists offline who take one look at me and see that I am White and Male and jump to the assumed conclusion that I must also be 'Straight' when I don't identify as straight and in fact I am still struggling to understand my own sexual identity / position

But that doesn't matter to them.. all of these assumptions lead them to the conclusion that I am of the UBER PRIVILEGED and thus anything I have to say is meaningless to them.
It does not matter at all what my early childhood was like, it does not matter that I had the 'PRIVILEGE' of being abused by multiple women throughout my early childhood..

Nope, that's all negated by biological factors outside of my control which impart upon me special privileges (Even if I have never actually benefited from these 'privileges' at all)

But its always rich to hear a Feminist say this considering how staunchly they defend the 'privilege' of the genital integrity for women (Female Circumcision is called Female Genital Mutilation and is outlawed) where as Male Circumcision is considered 'normal' and can not be called 'Male Genital Mutilation' because... reasons?

If Feminism and Feminists cared for equality then they would understand that equality is a two way street, requiring both give and take.. but at the moment all feminism focuses on is Giving rights / privileges to women while Taking rights / privileges away from men.

I don’t like feminism personally because i feel it’s either thinly veiled misogyny or it’s just straight up misandry in others.

The basic issue I’ve seen is that basically the feminists want us men to do our part for equality which we’ve done quite handily even if work still needs to be done on smaller minorities of dudes but then completely neglect their duties to gender equality too.

Essentially they want to have their cake, eat it and then punch us in the face while they’re doing it while saying “how dare you eat our cake!”

That’s why equality feels like oppression because It’s not equality they’re not adding stuff to get everybody to equal level they’re removing stuff from one side and adding it to the other.

Depends what you believe:

If you believe women belong in the kitchen their fight for equality could feel like a threat to your view. That phrase could apply.
If you believe men and women should have equal opportunities the feminist fight for women to be promoted/hired on the sole basis of their gender could feel like injustice and discrimination. I don’t think the phrase could apply to this.

Personally I think eventually everyone will see sense but it will take people to be brave and stand up for logic and reason in the face of some of the more ridiculous arguments. We should all strive to be that person brave enough even if it costs us.

I’ve spent most of my 36 years of life watching women take my dad to the cleaners for alimony, poison my relationship with my daughter while collecting a check from me, women around me never striving for the financial success I have, this me footing bills In most relationships, and all the while being reminded that my life is east and kushy because I’m a white male. No. Not it isn’t. Society is pushing us into obsolescence and telling us we’re lucky for the privileges our forefathers had that we’ve never even seen.

We’re not losing rights to equality, we’re being made to look like sexist, racist “proud boys” simply just hoping to graduate, earn a wage and provide. All without the ability to fire up an only fans and file sexual harassment charges or be innocent until guilty in a rape allegation.

So, where is the equality that is somehow not also simultaneously oppressing us?

I can’t speak for everyone, but I can certainly speak for myself. It’s not that I/we are looking for women in the wrong places. A woman (or PERSON/PARTNER in general) like you is hard to come by. Consider yourself a unicorn, a member in a herd of unicorns. Not always, but typically, like people attract like people. People who like to fish, for example, they spend time around other people who like to fish. People who read books go to book clubs with people who read books. Again, not ALWAYS, but typically — good people spend time around good people. And i have found that women like you run in herds, packs of sorts. Why it works this way is probably another topic for another day; but typically the same types of women that create the kind of disdain people in this thread are talking about, they don’t even get along with each other. So they either are solo, or at best, have few friends and for a short time. -Which is one of the many traits they possess that is difficult to expose before “we” men get stung by them.

The funny thing about the quote "when you are privileged, equality feels like oppression" is I think it fits feminists/women more than it fits men.

Considering the fact women can freely talk about their plights at this point in time without worrying about their career or losing friends demonstrates they aren't oppressed. There are numerous laws and mandates that were made specifically to the benefit of women (scholarships, hiring practices, gender based quotas, "violence against women" legislation , the draft, etc etc).

Meanwhile what about men? Well personally I've experienced soured friendships from mentioning my belief men are more oppressed than women and the one time I brought this up academically in a college class (in response to family court bias a female class mate discussed personally experiencing) the professor dismissed my claim as well the claim of another peer who agreed with me and ended the conversation with "Well women suffer more so lets stop acting like this isn't the case".

"when you are privileged, equality feels like oppression" rings quite true when you consider we as Men's rights activists/allies are seen as oppressors when in actuality all we want is equality.

Feminism in it's current form CANNOT accept the fact men are suffering as well and need help. Why is that? Well as most things in this world it comes down to dollars and cents.

What do you think will happen once the perpetual female victim narrative is gone? The money that goes to these feminist institutions will have to be dived out to men's rights institutions. Women who's whole identity revolve around "Burn the Patriarchy!!" will have a crisis of sorts when understanding men aren't the cause of all the worlds problems and that it's a complex web of selfishness and narcissism even if that understanding is far less appealing.

Simply put when you're a victim you are understood to have no agency. If someone puts a gun to your head and tells you 'DRIVE" if you crash the car or drive the car into oncoming traffic who would blame you?

Sadly for too many women they NEED this sort of boogeyman to justify all their little failings and give their life meaning. Well if I was born a guy I'd be rich, successful and powerful. But since I'm a women THE MAN keeps me down and in my place.

As most of us on this sub are deeply aware of that is not the reality. There are multitudes of examples in which men are discriminated, belittled, and ultimately ignore compared to women who get the lions share of attention.

What about violence against women?? Uh what about the fact men are by far more likely to be the victim of violence crime (mugging, murder, assault) compared to women?

oh but those are by other men Wow so just because a victim shares a sex with the person who victimizes them that means they deserve less sympathy? classy

Why are there less female CEOs compared to men?🤔. funny how the other side of the coin is never mentioned, how there are less female garbage collectors, oil rig workers, crab fishers? Not only that but unlike women a man's worth is intrinsically tied to their career so their is a bit more of an impetus for men to shoot for the stars.

Look at the end of the day I'm not going to pretend women don't suffer and that patriarchies don't exist (Afghanistan, north Korea) however this idea women have a monopoly on all the suffering of the world is unfounded and EXTREMELY sexist at the end of the day.

I love feminism…I consider myself a feminist…but I don’t believe in the beta feminist that goes around playing victim and making excuses. I believe in the alpha feminist(one who is kind, listens, knows her roles in society, loves herself as well as others)…alpha feminist’s run circles around beta feminist because they help more people and have a strong urge to serve.
