So I saw this meme today, in relation to a story about how the weeaboo subculture is motivated hugely by a desire to recapture high school romance as it should have happened. And it got me thinking, to what degree is red pill thought also driven by the idea that men have missed out on fundamental human experiences, and attempts to make it all seem fair?

At its core, "Alpha Fucks / Beta Bucks" is meant to inflame men's sense of unfairness. Every high school nerd has at some point consoled himself with the thought that women don't want him now, but they will later when wealth and success are his, etc. AF/BB is meant to dispel this "fairness paradigm" by claiming that the women you're waiting for won't want you even then: they'll just be settling. It replaces this with a new measure of fairness: "The Wall", which basically says to men that the women who are rejecting them will ultimately end up unfulfilled in the long run, and that's kind of justice. Subreddits like r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen seem to fill that need for a lot of people.

Do you think a lot of people in red pill communities are dealing with the unfairness of missing out on romantic milestones? A lot of people may say, "Young love isn't that great, it's just awkward", but nobody believes that. "Jack and Diane", despite being some of John Mellencamp's most Boomer bullshit, still pretty much describes how we are expected to believe young love is supposed to go. Is it possible that more young men are "missing out", and so more of them come looking for answers?

And yes, I know that life isn't fair and no one is entitled to anything. I also know that has never changed anyone's mind on anything.

Edit: All these posts and not one person defending John Mellencamp. See that Johnny? No one likes your work! Doesn't Hurt So Good now, does it?
