To cut clean on that point, if a woman is at least 18, I'll refer to her as such (Can call it young woman if you want, I really don't care).

If you're talking about minors, I think the tendency is self explanatory, and there's no room for debate - it's gross.

If you're talking about young women (18-20), combination of revenge fantasy and indeed looking for less experienced and easier to shape, which I personally find gross if the preference stay at the same age over time. Because there's a point where you just don't connect with a woman much younger than you and find them insufferable.

That being said, exceptions also exist and I've seen 6-8 years gap work out, so it's more of a problem when paired with other things.

One thing that may not be appreciated but is true nontheless though, is that no man want to pay for the mistake another man did, and a lot of shit come with age. I'm speculating here, but it's probably a few things. I'm not defending any positions, just providing observations:

Punching up: A lot of unsuccessful men in the dating pool sees it as a balancing act of nature. Young women have a huge advantage in dating, but they will eventually lose it as they age. It's a schadenfreude type of feeling.
Stirring Up: Let's be real, age-gap relationships hits a soft spot in a lot of women, particularly those on the older side of things.
Counter-Examples: You say that women fully aware of the importance of youth, but there is a strong counter-current here. Many women and some men here on PPD will say they prefer older women or think older women are hotter (I've seen ranges of late 20s through 30s, and some even stretching it to 40s).
Acceptance: related to point 2, there's definitely some amount of taboo depending on your social circle for age-gap relationships. Some people automatically put red flags on the guy, and they defend themselves as to be expected.
Denial of Preference: There are a contingent of young women who do in fact prefer older guys. One went to grad-school with me and has always dated men 20+ years older than her for as long as I've known her. Are they uncommon? Sure, but they're out there, and on the internet all rare things are made common through our anecdotes.

Well, nothing really at least on my side.

I mean, I've been with women of all ages, me being at all ages too.

I'm 33 years old now and date women from 20 something up to 39 so I don't really have a problem with age if the woman still has good looks...

But yeah, when it comes to age, I think women from 18 to 25 at most look the best, and when I'm saying this I don't mean I'm going strictly for women in this age bracket, hell I don't think I could date a woman in her late teens at this point, just saying they look great.

And yes, there are some underage girls who are like 16 or 17 ans who look stunningly hot out there.

And with this, I don't "mean" anything, I'm just stating what I see around, there is this "golden decade" when women look the best and have the greatest power in the dating market that it starts with 15-16 and ends at 25-26, that's it, and it shouldn't piss off anyone that this is how it is. Women in this demografic are, on average, more desirable and more good looking, and ON AVERAGE again have more power in the dating scene that they will ever have in their lives.

And yeah, relationship wise, I think this is the sweet spot for women when it comes to love, relationships, marriage and all that.

Women are at their peak here, and they can attract the most suitors, and couple that with the fact that this is where men have the higher libido, and you have a high likelihood for dating, relationships and marriage to happen.

I think people are marrying less these days not just because "reassons", but because men and women DELAY marriage after 30...

And then, well, it just doesn't happen. Because women become pickier with age, but also attract less potential suitors because of age, so odds are kinda stacked.

And then, 30 something men don't have a strong sex drive and are more calculating with their decisions in these stages of life, they simply don't want to get married, and don't find women their age THAT gorgeous.

And this is something that striked me the other day.

In the US, physical education in high school stops being mandatory after 10th grade, which puts those girls at the age of 15-16. That could be a big factor, most students don't take PE anymore and the country's high BMI level eventually catches up with them. 15-16 is when they're mostly adults too in size, so in their minds these men probably end up thinking that those girls are optimally fit, young, and healthy compared to the older ones.

As far as why it's a popular topic, this group goes in spurts of what's popular for the week lol, the BBB especially has a problem with guys that can get younger women

I have never asked that question but I do see it a lot and I respond to them.

What do I think I would like to achieve? I think it would be putting the emotion aside and look at it as more objective.

A lot of people call any man attracted to a girl that looks like a young adult woman but happens to be 17 a p*do. So my first thing to achieve to me here is either the fact that we need to realize that being attracted to a young adult matured body even if she happens to be 18 or a bit younger doesn’t make them that word and it’s normal to be attracted. Does it mean it’s okay to date whoever has a matured body? No. But the attraction is normal to a matured body. So either it isn’t that word, or the vast majority of men in this world are that word which would make it normal and the standard.

I would also want to achieve the idea that just because someone is a few years older doesn’t mean they can’t even talk or have a lot in common. And if they are consenting adults, it doesn’t matter what they do. Is it the smartest choice to date someone 30 years older? Probably not. Is it creepy of that 30 +year older men to want to date that young girl? No. Is it weird cause what young girl would be attracted to a man that much older? Yes.

I Guess the goal is to stop covering everyone under the same mantle of a p*do for liking someone who has a mature adult body but might be young.

OP , they are women , please don’t use language that infantilises women just to prove a point , makes you look silly .

I’ll stick to my usual . Consenting adults can do consenting adult things .

Also why not ask that group of 18-24 that prefer older men , why they prefer them over ones their own age?
