What you say is mostly true of men too. You can get an unattractive plus-sized woman if you go on WooPlus or Facebook dating. The fact that you’re not rushing down there to meet them suggests that you have some sort of standards and as a result your ability to do so means nothing.

There are entire demographics of women who struggle with sustainable relationship formation. Full-stop. Not every single-mother will not find a man willing to play step-dad, especially the younger they are and if they’re not willing to settle for mates with significant deficiencies in particular areas (employment, domestic violence, etc).

Who you are impacts who you have access to, and after a certain point, it becomes more advantageous to opt out than settle for what you can reasonably get. The dating pool of a poor single-mother will have lots of issues. Of course, some will get lucky, but many, many women in this group have very poor dating outcomes.

To get a little more meta, a lot of people on PPD idolize the ability to get into a relationship without acknowledging the massive gulfs that exist in relationship quality. The worst case scenario is not being single. It’s being shackled to a person who hates your guts and abuses you.

I agree with your title but not your reasoning. As someone who was born a "truly ugly woman" (it turns out i'm actually intersex but the result has been a woman with very masculine features universally detested in the dating market) it's not because we can find dates. We can, that's true. But women will never be alone because they're better at building non-romantic social support networks and generally in decentering romantic partnership when it's not available or not providing support.

A) This only works if the woman in question is of a certain level of attractiveness. You can be an average 20 yr old woman or an attractive 30+ woman, but you cannot be an unattractive 20 yr old woman or an average 30+ woman and have men want to do anything for you whatsoever. Those women can get a man still, yes, but pretty much only men who want to take advantage of THEM financially or otherwise. The number of male hobosexuals and guys looking for a submissive provider mommy is often way underestimated.

B) Often, perhaps even usually, the deal still is not as advertised even when we’re talking about attractive women. This is especially true if the woman in question is autistic. That’s how you end up trapped in a nightmare abusive relationship. Men are not nearly as stupid or altruistic as you’re making them seem. If they are willing to “help” some average looking autistic woman, there will almost always be a darker motive behind it, like wanting someone they can completely control. There is a saying “if he can feed you, he can starve you,” and it’s true.

Bullshit. I’ve never met a guy that accepted me being autistic, mentally ill, and chronically ill enough to form an actual relationship. I’ll say it’s not as bad as my male counterparts because people can be attracted and interested in me, but when they get to know me it never lasts. I’ve always been alone with random spurts of someone being interested and giving up. I’m not mad at anyone for considering it too much, but there is more to being alone than being too ugly to date.

Agreed this is a big reason u I think dating is easier for women. I can't really think of any condition a woman could be and have no male company.

I would say for women that are attractive some or a lot(not really sure) of the “undesirable” women don’t get chosen and are as lonely/miserable/depressed as lonely men. I will say I think ugly women can always find a man doesn’t mean he’s gonna meet your expectations or that your expectations are real or that there won’t be any other problems but it’s much higher in my opinion than lonely men.

In theory, this makes sense.
