I'm a logical person, and I have a hard time seeing this from a logical lens, which is why I want to discuss this.

From a woman's perspective, having casual partners and then making a guy they really like wait for sex isn't an issue. From their logical perspective (based on conversations with women), those men they were having casual sex with didn't really matter. They were okay with having sex with those men, because they didn't care what those men thought, because to them, the casual sex men were lesser men and were only good for getting off.

From a woman's perspective, they will make a guy they really like, a guy they can see as husband material wait for sex, because they don't want that guy to view them as "easy" and they want to the guy to want to get to know them outside of sex.

For some men this wait for sex can be a few months, and some girls may even become religious later on and say they won't have sex until marriage. I've seen both scenarios. Hell, I even have a best friend whose wife wouldn't have sex with him until she was married. He would tell me, she wouldn't change in the same room as him, wouldn't get down to her underwear in front of him, and he didn't get to see her naked until their wedding night... even though she had a lot of sex prior with different men. My best friend and his wife are still going strong 4 years later.

Anyway... I don't get the logic. Everyone has a right to change, grow, refuse sex, etc. etc. I get that. However, I don't how you can make sex seem value-less when you're having casual sex... but when you meet the guy of your dreams, now your sex is deemed valuable and must be protected by waiting.
