The obsession with female purity, virginity and how many men she’s slept with is pretty evident in any pill orientated spaces. There is a real fear in many men on marrying or getting in a committed relationship with a woman who they deem slutty which can range from them not being a virgin to having slept with over a 100 men. When asked why female promiscuity disgusts them so much, the answer can range from they just find it icky no larger explanation needed, to they believe a promiscuous women lack self control thus will be more likely to cheat, leave them, be less satisfied with the relationship or fear they will be used/settled for by a ‘former h*e whos done having her fun with chads etc. I think there been lots of threads delving into the reasons why so I don’t want dwell on them too much.

Now obviously if you have this distaste or disgust for perceived female promiscuity, the logical answer is to simply find a woman who is not promiscuous by your standards. Yet the it seems the reasons we keep having these same discussions over and over again on this topic is because many men insist it’s impossible for them to find a woman who is not promiscuous by their standards. Its either every woman around them is not a virgin, is sleeping around constantly, has had at least one, one night stand with chad etc. So discussions feel more like an exercise in trying to convince (young) women not to be promiscuous by coming up with scenarios that will scare them into changing their behavior ( ex: your going to die alone if don’t settle down young) or just ranting about the problem.

Now in my opinion, if every women you know is promiscuous doesn‘t that logically point to the idea that promiscuity is natural in women? Some will say no, by claiming women outside western countries are not, but couldn’t that be due to them living a more conservative culture but when women are more ‘free’ their behavior tends towards being more promiscuous? I am not saying I agree with this notion but if really so impossible for many men to find a woman who is not promiscuous while it’s super easy to find men who are not, doesn‘t that lead to one to conclude that women are more prone to promiscuous behavior? Of if you have this belief ( it’s hard to find non promiscuous women in the western world) do you believe there other factors that influence women’s behavior that causes them to be promiscuous rather than it being natural?

I think this could be an interesting so I’m open to hear everyone’s thoughts.
