Seriously.
Things like this make wonder why I feel lonely. I am not. I’d rather be alone than share my one life with someone who may possibly think/speak this way of me.
[–]WaffleDynamics 377 points378 points379 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, I'd rather be alone than in a shitty marriage too. That doesn't mean I'm not lonely sometimes. The thing is, I was actually more lonely when I was married. Living with someone like the uncle in the OP is soul-crushing.

I felt this way while aroused yesterday. Got a few swift reminders of how meaningless sex and pitiful men can be underneath the veneer of niceness though! Couldn’t bring myself to have sex with one.
Woke up relieved that I didn’t feel sick, guilt, remorse, or sadness by allowing some scrote to use my body in exchange for a potential orgasm or to temporarily alleviate loneliness.

They age, they're just so totally delusional that they don't realize how gross they look as they age. Most of them have beer gut, bald head, leatherlike skin, and that gross double chin that blends into their neck, but they are so deluded that they look in the mirror and tell themselves, "Damn, I still got it!"
[–]Jigglygiggler6 218 points219 points220 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Or they've been conditioned to think that women don't care about looks!
[–]lvioletsnowFDS Newbie 30 points31 points32 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They keep taking those societal platitudes out of context. If you were a woman who wasn't allowed to work, own a bank account, or credit card and you had to either marry or starve to death in the streets like a dog? They too would be reciting poetry in their head while some elderly scrote jackhammers at them.
[–]mandiefavorFDS Newbie 286 points287 points288 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Oh man, and the wrinkles! I’m 40 and I take meticulous care of my skin and it shows, meanwhile men my age are starting to look really rough. And they still think they should be pulling women in their 20s. Unreal.
[–]purasangriaRuthless Strategist 83 points84 points85 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The delusion is real. They just don't look good after 35 or so, and some of them start looking like crap in their mid 20s from booze and lack of exercise.

Can't tell the difference between a mirin' look they got when they were 20 and their metabolism could still outpace their shitty lifestyle; and the look of horror they get from a young woman in response to his creep-eyes at her when he's 81.
However, they seem to figure out pretty quickly the death stare I throw right at them when I catch them doing it to very young girls though.

It absolutely is delusion.
I was never attracted to my ex and he always told me he knew but didn’t mind since "women aren’t really attracted to men’s body’s. Only personality’s". He’d comfort himself by lying to himself “all women are lesbian. I don’t know how they’d be attracted to men. Look at us”
Yes indeed i was looking at him.
How can men create so many delusions for one topic. Do men not understand that we’re only physically attracted to physically attractive people? And most men don’t care for themselves so it’s natural not to be attracted to the average man?

They’re like this even if it’s not a matter of aging.
I once dated a guy for about eight months. For the last three months, he whined all the time that I didn’t look like I did “that night when you wore that little white dress”. He fixated on how I looked one time in one particular outfit, and was disappointed for the rest of our relationship.

Love is supposed to apply a whole person, down to their soul. Cherishing them and accepting that they will age, and their body will change, especially if it has made children.
Does this kind of love not exist anymore? Has it been decimated by our “better, prettier, next” culture? I’m so sad for humanity.
Growing and changing together and accepting that this happens to both of you is part of the point of marriage. If someone who lives with you looks devoid of life and spirit, please look in the mirror and think how to help. (Do not get on the internet to browse the younger models while thinking, “darn, wish the maid / cook / household manager was as hot as she used to be...”)

Seriously tho, what problems do older men have? For months now, I (23 y/o) have gotten friend request by this old dude that is at least over 55. I never accept him. I dont know him, never talked to him. Does it stop him? No no no, he just continiues to spam my account with his stupid friend request and hoping he will get the chance to talk to me. Whats even sadder, is that he is supposedly married with this young thai woman that has a child (dont know if its theirs or only hers), and he still goes on with his hunting for young women in their 20s. Its disgusting.
I am gonna block him. Problem is, he makes new accounts and does the same again. I feel he is harassing me at this point. The only thing we have in common, is that we live in the same city - nothing else.

I could, not sure the cops here are going to take it seriously tho. I have some issues with the local police, because they treated me badly and I filed a complaint. Two of the officers I complained about is two men, making me seem paranoid and overreacting for anything I say, they give me ugly looks whenever they see me. My friend told me it's better if you don't delete the requests, it just allows them to send it again. Just leave them unaccepted.

Going to consider it, its on Facebook so I am not sure how Facebook handle these situations. Feel like the best option I have is to block, but I could look at it

I believe it is also possible to stop friend requests from being sent to your account all together.
That would have been nice, I dont know how many I get just from random older men and it has begun to become really annoying. I know I configured my settings so that people that wanted to add me had to have common fb-friends with me. Thank you for tips, going to go through my settings right now!

Man the more I talk to men I realize I'm okay with never getting married. No matter what, you're never enough. The poor aunt took care of him, gave him probably more than what he deserved and even then he was still ungrateful. Jokes on him, now he has to do stuff for himself because he's not meeting anyone like the aunt ever again.

The niece who posted this on twitter, wrote in the thread :
"Unbearable to think after three children and a warm home full of tiny pencil drawings, coddled dogs and non stop baking, that was how the closest person to her saw it all."

😢. It was so hard for him, not because she died, but because she let herself go. While she was dying. She didn’t get dolled up anymore. I hope some of her relatives and friends were taking care of her while he bemoaned the disintegration of a decoration.

Dolly Parton once talked about how she would go to sleep with her makeup on, just in case she was roused in the middle of the night and someone would see her. Very common in the past for women to not be allowed to be caught looking anything less than done up

I saw an interview with Charlie Manson about ten years ago. They showed him pictures of the women who were imprisoned along with him.
He looked at each pic for a long time, looked sadly at the interviewer, and said “They got old on me.”
You can’t even get old when your one of Charles Manson’s girlfriends. 😣
He's such a crazy, grizzled old fuck. He's lucky he was kept alive for scientific study, otherwise the guards would have let him die in the showers via prison murder.
[–]Gouda8995FDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
so gross. It was probably around the time you watched that interview, I stopped mid-channel flip (okay sounds like 15-20 years ago) and watched a made for tv movie clip about him; how mysterious and cool he was but also crazy murderer blahblah so much mystique....and in the scene he stops singing suddenly and punches out a big-preggo woman right in the nose and kept going.
Yes a movie, but I was shocked at how this could be a behavior people found out about years later (nevermind cult members, they're gone) and still even bother trying to monetize the brand, and have either actor participate.

My husband's grandparents had friends/neighbors who were in their late 70's when the wife was diagnosed with MS and it hit her really hard. In the matter of a few years she went from functioning like a normal elderly lady to someone who needed extra help and care. The husband filed for divorce. She was in the darkest end of her life and he straight up abandoned her. Then proceeded to date other women and show up at holiday gatherings without her. It was super duper awkward and I was so angry every time I saw him come around. It's just God awful to think you can spend your entire life caring for someone and the moment you stop they just straight up abandon ship.

I know an older lady (70s) that said she would never marry again because older men are only looking for a nurse or a purse.

You think you found a good one, and then even after decades of living and loving together, you realize he's still, in the end, just a man. That's just how they are. They don't view women as people and they most often aren't capable of loving women. It's why they murder their wives and girlfriends "loved ones" so often - the love of a man is deadly to women.
[–]Persy0376 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
As a nurse I have news for them- their shit gets old and saggy too. Their balls dip so low they hit toilet water. And they also get incontinence - so, it ain’t pretty no matter who you are. She probably took care of his saggy self and he is mad that she can’t cater to him anymore.

Oh man. As an older (52) woman who stays in shape, one of my instant disqualifiers is a man in my age range who wants to talk to me “because you take care of yourself.”
“Takes care of herself” is ALWAYS code for “isn’t overweight.” “Let herself go” is almost always code for gaining weight. But THEY’RE overweight! I just can’t with it!

I used to work as a moderator on a dating site, and I kid you not, about 50% of the men there were old (literally 60+), married and trying to date women in their 20s. There were men in their 80s complaining to 30 year old women that they didn't feel she was doing enough of the chasing. Absolutely insane. And yes, a load of them were married and wanted a bit on the side because their wife was ailing.
