I just find it funny that when I see videos with a heterosexual couples where the man is way less attractive than the woman the men are in the comments hyping him up, “Bro is winning” “He got a good one” “Dude, got a pretty one”. But when I see a video with an handsome man with his less attractive girlfriend (rare) the guys are in the comments like “do better” “smh this guy must have low self esteem” “lol why are you with her” “man this dude could be with a nine right now but he’s with a five. Damn”.

I don’t want to hear shit about female hypergamy when men are actively looking for women who look better than them and making fun of other men who don’t have conventionally attractive wives or girlfriends.

Not only do they want a hotter girlfriend for the sake of having one. They want one because of the male validation they get for having one. In every single one of these videos the man in the video very much enjoyed the comments he was getting from men about what a good job he did securing a hot girlfriend.

This is the type of behavior that men on this sub want people to think is exclusively what women do. “Seeking status through relationships is only something women do.”

Just venting. But lately I've found myself arguing a lot against male anti-feminists. They are always pointing out that the decline in the enforcement of monogamy has led to women fucking guys who aren't good, or aren't good parents.

But despite them believing in evo psych, when I tell them "Well yeah, we all have evolved instincts about attraction that are not perfectly adapted to modern environments. In the past, women bore the entire burden of having to suppress those instincts for the good of society and strong families. Now, both gender will have to share it. Why don't guys marry the chubbier, uglier woman who will be a better mother instead of complaining about women being attracted to guys who would make bad fathers? I was thinking about "Brave New World" today and I guess I need to reread it because I cannot for the life of me think of why it's considered dystopian lit. All I remember is that the future was a drug-fueled sex-positive wonderland that for some reason made the protagonist so sad he killed himself.

I think there was also some kind of caste system, but I seem to recall even the lowest caste had it pretty good.

I remember this all making sense when I first read it, so there must be some context I have since forgotten. But overall if I had to live in a "dystopia", I'd pick "Brave New World" over "1984" or "The Handmaid's Tale" any day.
