I’m going to try and keep this civil as much as possible, but a persons past absolutely matters and you’re free to disassociate, with that person if you choose to do so, but why is sleeping with a considerable amount of previous partners exempt from this discussion?

I’m trying to understand, where this mindset is coming from, in which you have to forgive past actions regarding sex, because it’s in the past and it doesn’t effect you now, I think if a woman has had a past of sleeping around or had a “hoe phase”, the relationship has run it’s course, if I found out (at least in my opinion), it’s done. You can feel free to say that I am slut shaming, but what ultimately makes a relationship work is staying true to what you believe in and not budging because, of outside pressure sleeping around, participating in sex work or involving yourself in the p*rn industry, isn’t something that can be easily forgotten or shrugged off, if I get too romantically involved with this person and we have a child, our child’s reputation is completely tarnished, by outside forces.

The past mattering is only acceptable as long as it doesn’t effect, the benign choses certain women make, which is unfair on the men and I also stand by this going both ways. If a man had a history of sleeping around, women can also choose to terminate the relationship, then and there, but this weird Idea of forgiving and forgetting this one aspect is ludicrous, if you cheat it’s over, if you lie (depending on the lie) it’s over, if you get aggressive it’s over, if you become neglectful it’s over, all reasons I stand behind, but if she had one too many one night flings, then forgive and forget?, or else it’s “slut shaming” or your “insecure” am I missing something?
