There can be quite a few but a major one of them is leaving me in a hard time and coming back when it's good

For example, let's say I lost the job due to things like covid or my well-established business suddenly failing. If I am in a serious relationship or a marriage I expect both sides to stand with each other in their worst time. If my partner leaves me there while I am struggling for money ( now here it's a different case if I am being lazy, good for nothing bastard, in that case, it's ok ) and then try to come back it will be a deal-breaker for me.

And it's not like you will be an inhuman, super selfish character for me. I may be hurt or can say bad things in heat of the moment but in the end, most probably I will be ok with it as no one is bound to stay with someone but please don't come back in good time

And if I do that to anyone I won't expect the other side to continue with it either

Cheating. Sexually and emotionally. That trust with my partner is so important to me and so is the bond that we have. If he were to break that trust by having sex with someone else or if he were to have a deep emotional relationship (outside of something platonic) with someone else I wouldn't be able to trust him again and it wouldn't work.

If he stopped contributing to the household. I'm the breadwinner right now, he stays home with the baby and works the weekends. If he just stopped taking care of the apartment or the baby and was no longer contributing then i would leave.

If he started abusing me or our son. I think that's a given why I'd leave.

If he stopped trying to make it work with us. As awesome as we are together we both have some mental health stuff and our own baggage to work on in order for us to work out. If he stopped putting that effort in then I would leave him

If i did any of the above, he'd leave me too.

Excusing abusive behaviours and comments with "I let my emotions get the better of me" (If someone turns abusive once their emotions get out of control, then they're too selfish for me to want a life with. An adult knows how to damage control, imo, especially with the person they love.)

Withholding love from me as "punishment" (Really, that's just revenge...)

Silent treatment.

Letting problems and arguments fester over more than a couple days (I am of firm belief that problems do not "blow over" and should be addressed like adults.)

Saying they settled for me (because it means they could have done better, so why not go spend your effort getting someone better? Or it means they'll never be happy from the bottom of their heart...)

Calling me a burden, intentionally disregarding my insecurities, negatively comparing me to other girls in a non-constructive/purely physical way (This is just me being a snowflake because it personally hits home :( )

Cheating is an instant disqualifier. Don't care if she was drunk or regretted it except for if she didn't have a say in it. And in that case I will settle for nothing less than the guy getting charged with the full extent of the law. Reason should be self-explanatory but letting her get away with it will pretty much guarantee it'll happen again anyway. I also don't want someone obsessive to the point where they stalk me, I had one girl contact ALL my exes despite me making it clear that was a boundary and I'll never contact any of her exes. Absolutely no checking my phone while I'm asleep either or going through my things.

I also don't like the idea of her hanging out with other (clearly interested) men or past exes. I won't break things off over just having guy friends but it's definately a red flag for me. I don't like girls that frequently bad mouth their besties behind their backs since I want someone upfront and geniune. I also don't want a girl I often get into fights with, another past girlfriend would try to get me to debate her every time some guy in DC sneezed. I can't imagine having kids and having us fight constantly in front of them for no reason.

If I realised that she was being deceptive for a long time, putting on a facade about who she want, what he liked, believed in, etc.

If she was comfortable saying “not in the mood for sex”, using sex as a bargaining chip, etc but then expected me to “love” her, give attention, etc all the time. I mean in my mind no one should pressure either partner to have sex. The same way if I don’t want to talk, give attention or “love” because I’m pissed then that’s my prerogative too. I can’t stand hypocrisy where the rules are really biased towards her interests. She wants me to cook and clean and take on responsibilities at home but she doesn’t held shoulder the financial burden of earning money. Gender norms apply to men but not to women.

My personal dealbreakers for both men and women:

Physically Abusive: Due to my childhood this is by far one of my major "zero tolerance" stances, this includes past partners. If I find out you were beating up your ex-wife or ex-husband or ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend, it is over I'm not gonna play that Pick-Me "Oh it won't happen to me" bullshit.

Animal cruelty: Also including being cruel to "vermin" like raccoons, coyotes, wolves, snakes, certain birds. I mean I'm not anti-hunting by a long shot but I don't like people who are just psychopaths who use it as an excuse to torture animals. I think they're a liability and I don't want to risk being with such a person, who is to say they won't get bored of wild animals and start picking off dogs and cats and then people?

Lack of empathy: Considering I was raised by a ASPD piece of shit mother, this is a major one with me. Devoid empathy? Not gonna risk that.

Someone who is cruel but uses the "it's just a joke" excuse: A prime example would be someone mocking a guy for being raped by a woman, if that shit is funny to you I don't want you in my life if that's a punchline.

Cheating: I made that "forgive and move on" bullshit mistake once under the naïve thought "well he's not a fuckboy so it's my fault he cheated on me." Turns out the fault on my part was just me not being his 1st cousin, didn't know I'd have to ask someone if they were sexually attracted to a fair amount of their blood family members.

Like 7 years ago this girl and I (16 at the time) were hanging out, we were coworkers and she just wanted to get to know me I guess. I was kinda anxious the whole time because of how pretty she was lol, plus she was French-Canadian so there was a slight language barrier and I had a stutter back then. Overall though it went well, she was really nice and we had some kind of chemistry going on by the end of the day. I remember we were sitting at this park, waiting for her ride to come pick her up, and his lady with her dog just walked passed us. This girl then straight up went out of her way to say "eck I hate dogs, they're really gross and ugly".

....yeah we didn't really see eachother outside of work again after that.
