Many women say that attraction is a deal breaker when finding a man. But over the next 40-50 years of marriage, is attraction really going to last? My sense is that most 80 year olds still together are not sexually attracted to each other anymore. Why prioritize something that is guaranteed to fade anyways? Why not prioritize common interests, family compatibility, cultural values etc.? As a man, I am just starting to realize there are far more important things when it comes to a serious long term partnership than attraction... Also, most people typically go through serious changes when it comes to their physical appearance in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. Is your personal sexual satisfaction more important than whether or not he will be a good father for your son/daughter? I mean for a teenager sure, but as a parent there are different priorities?
