Some decades straight hair is in, some decades it's all about big and curly hair, other decades it's about wavy. Some decades it's about looking so thin you look emaciated, other decades it's about being slim-thick and curvy like Kim Kardashian. In the 20s women actually tried to look flat-chested because that was what was in vogue. In other time periods a deep tan has been considered indispensable if you wanted to be attractive. Some eras definitely celebrated long, straight blonde hair and the Barbie look.

So what actually matters? What, in your opinion, are the fundamental and enduring characteristics of beauty, specifically in regards to figure, hair color, skin tone, and level of body fat? Or are all these things superficial/irrelevant and it's more about proportions and just looking healthy, whether you're pale or dark brown or slim or curvy? What is actually essential to beauty? How much do the classic accessories associated with beauty, such as nail polish, makeup, heels, and elaborate hairstyles, matter when it comes to looking attractive?
