My husband was married prior, and he was much different in that relationship. Why? He was younger; felt less secure; she had different expectations (i.e. was a different human). Maybe in some ways he "tried harder" because he was less assured of her commitment (and for good reason it turns out).

I actually love the idea of something like a lab grown diamond and having a simple wedding but it’s my day as well so I’d like to at least have a reception even if we got married at a courthouse. I also love to travel so my issue wouldn’t be what he’s done in the past, it would be why he isn’t listening to how I want the wedding to go.

If I specifically asked for these things, there’s no reason to be mad but to me the main issue is thinking only about himself, not the past. I would say we are incompatible to begin with. What he did with previous partners has no bearing on what he does with me. If I have certain expectations that he cannot/will not fulfill, then we should not be together. I would be very upset he lied to me. If he truly had a change in heart and in his outlook on life, he would have been truthful with me about his past to begin with. The lying and broken trust is the biggest issue in this whole scenario, it would take a lot to build that back up.

Also, certain things like not having a wedding celebration, or not remembering important dates, or not doing sweet things for me, not having sex with me, etc. I don't think I'd marry someone who isn't actively showing they love me.

I don't care what he did in previous marriages, but I'm not marrying, dating or looking in a romantic way at someone who had not one but multiple failed marriages. Assuming he was just some really unlucky widower, I'm still not going to care about what he did with other people as those changes could be for multiple reasons including for my benefit (I can't be the only one who feels uncomfortable with someone buying me expensive stuff, and if I want jewellery or a honeymoon I'll just buy it myself but I don't like myself or anyone on my behalf wasting money on unnecessary fancy things like big fancy parties). I wouldn't assume it's because he hates me in particular. If I have a problem with the relationship, that's my problem with our relationship to deal with between us (for example, I am working at work and not doing any more than my share of household work full stop so we'd need to talk about that) and what he was like before just isn't relevant except when thinking of strategies to solve the problem and get back to that state. I don't care who else, if anyone, finds him attractive. The important thing is whether I like him, he likes me and we are happy in our relationship. If that's the case, then we're fine. I would feel happy if I met him later in life (above 35) because men can't treat older women better, lol. So, what you described is enough, with him saying that I am better. I think I would feel good.Also I have high n-count so this type of guy is more likely to accept me compared to hvm or virgin/low n-count men

Sounds like a sweet man. But… - I probably would have already known about his previous life before I married him because either I or my family and friends would ask if we don't already know much about him. - I don't think I would marry someone who has been married multiple times because I’ve seen jealous ex-wife/baby-mama drama (especially surrounding grandkids) and I'm probably a bit too young for him. I do know men like that who have learned the hard way and became much wiser than they were before but they’re people to look up to not across from. Generally, they avoid marrying someone who could be their daughter or is their daughter’s age. - I don't think I would marry someone who was a “sex machine” like I don't do that and I don't want the likelihood of getting STDs. - I don't think my family would let me get away with not having a wedding ceremony lol. And there's a difference between being cheap and buying what you can afford. But I do like simple things because their less overwhelming. - He probably wouldn't have a pot-belly for long cause I've been working on being healthy for years now because my family has not and the consequences are really bad. If I ever had kids I would want them to be healthy (not only physically) so they wouldn’t have to be on a ton of mebs by the time their 30 or worse there’s that.

I think it's strange to go a total 180 in lifestyle and treatment. It's strange to demand something that either of us is financially incapable of accomplishing. I should be free to choose whether I work outside and if he demands chores he better pick up the broom and fold the damn laundry.

And seeing his history, I don't trust him at all. It's obvious that big tits and sex matters a lot to him since he treats his ex-wives so much better than me despite what he says.

An obvious pass. If he maintain a fit and healthier lifestyle with other women, it doesn't have to involve me.
