My lawyer said one of his clients accidentally “butt-dialed” his ex. She picked up, realized it was a butt dial, let the call run for about 15 minutes, and then called the cops and claimed he had threaten her life and harassed her.

The phone records proved the call. However, since they don’t record audio it was her word against his. Over $50K in legal fees for the poor guy later, the case was dropped.

I had something passive aggressive when I originally changed it from Wife. Now it's her government name and the picture is a silhouette of a head with a knotted up string where the brain should be. Just to remind myself of her narcissistic mind games she played with me for over a decade. For anyone I am close to, I only have them saved as their first name. For everyone else, it’s their first and last name. To me, it feels too formal to have had my wife saved with her first and last name.

When we split, I had her saved as a few different things, but one of my kids saw it and asked who it was so, I changed it to her first and last name as I do anyone else I don’t consider to be significantly close to. It certainly isn’t as satisfying as some of the shit I’d like to use...

I strongly recommend not letting her rent space in your head for free. I changed mine to her first name with her maiden name. I put a photo of her with my son as a reminder that even when I hate her (most of the time) that it’s my kids who will be affected if I lose my cool with her.

Everybody in my contacts list has their first and last name and a picture. I try to get a contact picture to have both of us but at least a picture of their face.

I asked for three things during our separation. I didn't want to get divorced. I wanted my last name back. I never wanted to interact with her affair partner. Guess what I was able to "get"? The only thing I can control: zero interaction with her guy. Even to this day she tries to get me to acknowledge or interact with him and I refuse. She wouldn't give me my last name back.

I deleted her contact completely. She's the only entry in my phone with just a cellular number, and the message thread has been dusty as I've moved to communicating with her exclusively using an accountability application. She isn't significant enough for an entry.
