I don't really care that much about n count, it just comes down to feeling like I missed out. I think now I'm over that though because I'm ran through myself, but I still wouldn't want a high or even mid n count woman just based on the principle of the situation. Like we have to keep these thots accountable for their actions.

I just think sometimes about how when I was a teenager I had a friend (6'+ tall) who took a new girls virginity every month, had been with like at least 10 different women in the year I was friends with him, but myself and our other friend had trouble getting laid.

I remember one time in particular actually that him and our other friend were dating two girls that were friends. The tall one took this girls virginity and broke up with her a week later. The other friend kept getting rejected by the girl he was dating.

I don't want to say it is unfair because I know life isn't fair and nobody is entitled to anything, but I can't ignore the feeling of inadequacy that comes from this.

I wish I didn't have to be so resentful and adversarial against women, and really I'm a victim of my own mind, but it just sucks. And all the girls were cute too! He definitely wasn't dumpster diving.

But anyways, this is why I turned to studying how sociopaths work. I don't think he was a sociopath, not any more or less than any guy who gets laid is, but we just learn how to do what works and really his routine was just a lot of love bombing and playing the boyfriend role and making the girls trust him and once he got laid he'd move onto the next one. I think at the time that is what me and the other friend were doing wrong. We were too pushy without establishing that trust first.

It feels like that scene in Superbad when Jonah Hill's character says, "you know how girls say oh I was so drunk at that party I shouldn't have slept with that guy? We could be that mistake" I can't express enough how relatable that line was. On a similar note, I think Jonah Hill has that dog in him from years of trauma being treated the way he was treated and then this attention seeking woman had to post their conversations on the internet to make herself look like the victim when in reality she was just jealous because he was happier in his new relationship and they had a baby on the way.

But that is why I spent a lot of my twenties sort of "healing my inner child" and playing fuckboy. I reclaimed my youth during that period. I know I hurt a lot of people, but I can't feel bad because I was hurting and was very suicidal over feelings of inadequacy. I know not everyone will understand that, but I know what I felt. It was dark.

I'm just happy I'm mostly over all of that.

Honestly, I think you’re just wasting your own time and hurting your own feelings by not being upfront with your expectations. You can just say “I just wanna let you know from the get-go, that I’m not a person who talks to, dates, or sleeps with multiple people at once. If you’re not the same way, we probably shouldn’t be talking.”

The vast majority of people will either understand and end the relationship there, or they’ll feel the same way and you’ll have no issues. Expecting to be lied to all the time is a sign that you have attachment issues and haven’t recovered from being hurt in the past. You have to be somewhat vulnerable to be in a relationship with another person. There has to be a communication of boundaries and a degree of trust that they’ll be minded.

Stop blaming others for your inability to do that

I've noticed people talking about bodycount in other places on reddit, and their answers for what counts as high are quite different from guys on here. I notice more promiscuous men are more likely to have a higher "too high" number, and younger men are more likely to have a lower "too high" number. As well as IRL the n count standards seem to be different. Most men have some kind of standard related to n count but they're really pretty all over the place. Some guys prefer higher n women as well and don't want to date virgins or low n women. What's rare are guys that genuinely don't care at all.

There also appears to be a difference for some guys in what they say their standard is and what they'll actually accept.

But for this board, 10 is "irredeemably slutty", 5 is "too slutty for me", and <=3 is the preference. Just based on my observations of guys on here.

I always ask people to answer these questions by reversing clock just a century, a blip in human history.

For entirety of human history a woman wanting to have sex with a man meant to the man that she's willing to carry his child. Pretty fucking big compliment if you ask me. And it did indeed altered woman's life circumstances in meaningful ways, which can also be as "damaged her value".

Now because she can sleep with 200 men without getting pregnant doesn't mean that our lizard brain doesn't respond to it in some way.

I hypothize that women respond fundamentally different to their partner's promiscuous past because it speaks about high desirability and that it was her who was finally able to take him off the market.

Then they try to enforce the same lense on men and think men are somehow stupid or broken for not buying into their version of what's good/bad. It's almost as if men's sexual imperatives are different from women's and almost at odds.

I met a girl a while ago, and I started to really like her. We talked all the time, and I could feel myself starting to fall, and obviously, she felt the same way. We met while I was doing volenteer construction for disabled kids at a school her neice was going to. Just like, installing ramps, hand rails, building play equipment and that kind of thing.

She would start coming in more and more, just stopping by to talk and fuck around for a while. We were both falling for one another. Hanging out on the phone all the time when we couldn't see one another. We would talk through Discord voice chat while I was working on the charity stuff. There were weeks where we would spend easily 12 hours a day talking, then fall asleep talking, then I'd see her in the days to hang out, then as soon as she'd leave, we'd be talking on the phone. Rinse and repeat.

Then I found out that she had been in multiple threesomes, had sex with at least 30 people that I'd known about, and very likely more than that.

I just instantly lost any desire to be with her romantically. We could be friends, but the thought of having sex with her became repulsive. Like kissing one of my boys. Like a celing had been placed on my feelings. No matter how cool we were with one another, we could never be more than friends.

In my first relationship, I was with a girl for just over a year, she'd asked me if I wanted a threesome with her and one of her girl friends. Instant argument. I was upset that she would be okay with me sleeping with another girl. I wasn't okay with her being okay with me sleeping with someone else. After that, I just started to feel less and less desire to be around her. I'd gone from loving her, to feeling icked out when she'd touch me.

For me, given that I take sex to seriously and want to reserve it for people I have a special connection with, the thought of just giving it out so freely, as though it's nothing, is very off putting. It means a lot to me, I'd like it to mean a lot to the person I'm having it with also.

I don't know why it happens really, I just know that it happens. It's like a bullet in the head for my feelings.

If she slept with 15 men, she does not check all my boxes lol. It means she has radically opposing views and values surrounding sexuality from mine, and I would have to compromise on moral integrity to be with her. I value modesty, chastity, and believe that sex and sexuality is a natural blessing that ought to be practiced exclusively within the context of a committed relationship. As such, I believe in waiting until marriage. I recognize my lifestyle isn't for everyone, but its my personal and informed choice, and I need my partner to be on the same page as me for a relationship to work. Chances are, if no sex before marriage is a deal breaker for a woman, the rest of my lifestyle likely won't jive with her either. I don't model my life around pursuit of happiness or pleasure. I try my best to live an ascetic lifestyle around sacrifice and virtue.

I would encourage her on her spiritual journey and her conversion, if sincere, means she would have more value compatibility with me compared to someone who's more secular. But the thing is, to people who are more spiritually minded, sometimes an act itself, even if done with nobody around, has moral meaning and significance. Someone who had sex before simply can't offer the same level of sexual exclusivity I'd be looking for in a relationship. I wouldn't think she's a bad person, but not someone I'd be starting a family with. Another example would be I have extreme issues with people who make obscene gestures in front of religious statues or icons, of any faith and not necessarily Christianity, even if nobody is around to see it.

Again, I recognize I have a very orthodox and seemingly extreme view of sexuality compared to broader society, but thats because I live in a secular world as someone who's more inclined towards religious belief. I grew up Catholic, but would attribute equal significance in my personal development to my study of the Greeks and ancient polytheism and mythology. I would say i have a tendency towards Catholicism today, but see wisdom in almost every religion, as I'm more interested in the theology, metaphysics, and the actual values and lived practices themselves rather than the immediate literal explanation of origin.

With that being said, I've never met this hypothetical person before, so I can only answer according to how I would act now as I've never been put in a situation where this hypothetical person showed interest in me. With that being said though, I am prepared to be single and not expecting a relationship in life.

That's over 20 years old, before hookup culture was a buzzword and before dating apps existed. And it's a ridiculously large age range that literally includes children. Almost half of the people are married.

The real question should be what the numbers are for sexually active singles who are actively dating. If you look at the data for women who are never married and not cohabiting on page 20, you'll see that 23% of them had sex with 2 or more partners in a year, 11.5% had 3 or more. The 40% or so with one partner were probably in LTRs. It seems reasonable to conclude that when not in a LTR, about half of single women have sex with a couple of guys in a year, and half have 3 or more partners.

There's no way that any women who have spent any length of time single and actively dating end up with only 6 partners.

My head canon as a man, regarding that whole n count discourse, is that a lot of men do so suffer from some mild form of a Madonna whore complex. You pick a small subset of people who prefer/do something and then you generalise it to the whole population. I don’t know if it stems from disingenuousness or this is how you by default reason.

When talking about humans, we talk in general trends. If the claim is that women like tall men then it is not negated by a small subset of women who are okay with men shorter than them. It simply gets adjusted as: Women in general like tall men, all else being equal, they would prefer someone tall/taller, but there are also some women who will make do with men shorter than themselves.

Coming back to what you said, you are following the same line of argument, just because there are a small subset of people who are into extreme kinks, doesn’t necessitates that everyone acquire those skills to pleasure those people.

Your hypothetical scenario doesn't apply to everyone and you falsely believe everyone has the same secular and relativistic attitude towards sex that you do. In my case, if a woman has had previous sexual partners, especially if it's with a lot of people and with casual partners, then we have fundamentally different and opposing views and beliefs surrounding sex and sexuality that we are fundamentally incompatible as romantic partners. I view sexuality as both an intensely intimate and sacred natural blessing that should exclusively be enjoyed between two permanently committed partners. In other words, no sex before marriage is my non-negotiable. If a woman has slept around, I can still respect her as a human being, but I don't see her as a romantic partner.

It's not always about insecurity or a fear of cheating/breakup. The fundamental issue is an irreconcilably different attitude and treatment of sexuality that ruins any chance of romantic intimacy. Chances are, if you see sex as something casual and empowering when practiced with strangers who you're unfamiliar, then we both have fundamentally different views of people, relationships, and sex and a relationship is impossible at that point. Therefore, to me, there's no such thing as a hypothetically perfect partner who's also slept around. You're either compatible with my values, or you're not. And if you've slept around...you're not compatible with my values. It doesn't necessarily make you a bad person - just not someone I'd want to marry or settle down with.

I don't think it's even a matter of playing safe, really. A highly skilled woman looses her appeal and novelty once the man has busted a nut. It’s very different than going out on multiple dates with someone, getting to know them, feeling connected and then dropping them because they slept with too many people.

If people were walking around with a number over their heads (equivalent to being able to gauge the height straightaway) then I argue that it won’t get that far just like it doesn’t get that far with women and short men because people are able to find out a dealbreaker right away.

And I think women innately know that men don’t like/prefer high N-count women, which is why they react so negatively to this question. "How many guys have you been with?" I have posed this question to many guys over the years, they all said that they care.

I'm a little torn on how much I care. Like I care if she's 25 and has a count in the hundreds. To me, at some point a super high count is a sign of potential mental health issues, lack of impulse control, etc. I just don't know exactly what that magic number is.

If she's 25 and her count is around 40 like mine, then I sort of get it. You sleep with 2-3 people in high school, hook up a few times per semester in college, use dating apps a bit after graduating, mix in some relationships, and you're pretty quickly well into the 30s. To me it's not that crazy for someone to hook up with a few people each semester. If she's hooking up with a few guys per week, that's an entirely different story and not normal behavior.

I have had casual sex and found that it was not for me and it also gave me first hand experience of what it takes mentally to regularly engage in it, and that it disgusts me and would not trust a person in relationship setting who has done it extensively. As a man who is LTR-oriented (restricted sociosexual orientation) and not red pilled, i immediately lose interest when a woman either has a high n-count or tries to frame restricted sociosexual orientation (LTR-oriented, averse to casual sex) as "insecure".

Insecurity is when a side has doubts about their own ability to fulfill the criteria of the other side. Conversely, assessing the risk that the other side will prove unable to meet one's own criteria is not "iNsEcUrItY" but just solid empirical risk-assessment.

It's the same reason why a bank will refuse giving a loan to a person who failed to honor their contracts with several other banks before. The only insecure people in the context of n-counts are those with a loose sociosexual orientation who first rack up an n-count that will make LTR-oriented people reject them and then try to rhetorically inverse-project their own insecurity about it onto the other side.
