What settling really looks like.

Episode 1:

Yeah my ex and I could not physically keep apart, maybe it was the eyes, the ways we breathed in each others directions? I truly can’t say but very few people make me that hot and bothered. My now partner turns me on it’s just in a different way. It doesn’t make me love him any less it’s just different and sure I miss the passion but not the instability that accompanied it. Maybe it’s settling maybe it’s growth, regardless I’m happy with him (my now partner) and that’s all that matters.

Episode 2: He doesn't know it

Q: Honest question, would you say this to your current bf/hubby?

A (same woman): Honestly he’s very sensitive and for very other reasons we are not a good match and we are working on a lot. However would I be okay with my partner saying this to me, absolutely. I think we all have different sexual experiences and I don’t wanna compare myself to another but as long as he’s satisfied that’s all that matters. Do I think it needs to be said? No.

Ex of our issues: I model and said I was “setting a date with the photographer,” as he’d cancelled. He flipped his shit and asked why i was setting up a date with another man but I legit just meant setting a time, day, location xyz. Best not to add to an already insecure salad. I think we’ve all been insecure at one point or another so i’m understanding so far. And I could have worded that better, but no for this current partner absolutely not and he’s made it very clear ex’s are a topic that is off the table. I respect that boundary.

Episode 3: Honesty is her kryptonite

A (same woman): So no you did not read it this is the last time i’m saying this shit because mfs are sensitive today. I said my ex had one thing going for him and that’s dick and yes it was carnal. My current partner it’s not carnal all the time but it’s not never but at the same time he checks a lot of my boxes. Like any relationship we have things we are working on but that is not our issue, and that he is very satisfied. He doesn’t even need to ask though sometimes he will. He is a great guy and not having a carnal drive all the time does not change, alter, nor waver my love for him. He is my partner for a reason, that man is my ex for a reason.

Since I saw a couple comment on pitbulls, I remembered why I have an insane amount of hate for them and Chihuahuas. I used to do D2D selling last year and Lots of time, I would knock at the door and the person inside would usually seem intrested in my pitch but their fucking dog would just keep screaming at me like i had a gun in my hand. I would try to push it off by saying "Aww. Looks like your dog is a little afraid of me" but from inside I was cursing that creature and hoping it would off itself drinking some posion in its food. Less than a minute later, The person would get fed up from holding it back and use that devil as an excuse to close that door on me. I started to absolutely despise dogs in couple months.

But I loved the few peaceful and friendly dogs. They were always a great icebreaker and I liked when they would smell me and return back, made me finally feel like I'm a human and not some Bear.

I have trouble making male friends. I have 2 very close male friends and other than that I struggle. I noticed that usually women will be more friendly to me, even in nonromantic ways. Even if they are a lesbian, right from the gun they will be more likely to engage with me and more likely to joke around with me

Whereas with men they will avoid me and keep their distance. Not conspicuously shunning me but addressing me only in polite cordialities. If I try to make friends with them there will be this strange wall where they are warily trying to keep their distance. Which bums me out because I exclusively enjoy masculine hobbies and I feel more comfortable being myself with men

I am 27M and I am straight (and obviously so). I am about average looking in terms of 1-10. I have masculine features such as no hair on head, much hair on body, above average muscle and low voice

i once saw a program on tv about an uncontacted tribe and the system they had was that women would have sex with multiple men until she's pregnant and ALL the men she slept with were the father.

now that i think about it, i would have married my ex had he been normal and not abusive, the thing is tho he's not the hottest man i've been with and he didn't have the "perfect ideal looks" that i pictured i'd end up with but i still liked him and loved him and was very very very attracted to him.

my dream when i was probably 13-15 was to work in a small bookstore to support myself while i write books. i would meet the love of my life in that bookstore and we would live in a cute little cottage and have a lot of dogs (i didn’t want children back then)

The other thing that sucks is that because her dog is actually worse than both the black death and the holocaust she needs to find faults with my dog.

For example she's trained her dog to sit and wait while scooping out food because otherwise her dog will bowl you over getting at the food and take it from the scoop you have in your hand (possibly biting you in the process).

My dog, a purebread english cream golden retriever, will stare while standing up while you scoop the food waiting for you to be done. That is of course, not good enough. It's not fair to her dog that my dog gets to stand. So even though I never trained him to do it she's constantly angry at him for not sitting when I'm getting them food (did I mention that her dog will bully my dog away from his food bowl so I have to stand there to make sure it won't happen?).

Every day she'll find some behavior of my dog that's completely and utterly benign like it will lay down when other dogs are approaching unless you tell him not to and that is like "Oh he can't walk on a leash at all" despite being perfect on a leash and just trying to be small so he doesn't rile up other dogs, and literally all you need to do is say "It's okay keep walking" and he does.

She's even mad at him for staring at us when we eat. He stays super far away, like really far away, and stares at us and she's like "Omg it's so annoying he stares" while I'm trying to fight off her fucking demon to get a bite to eat.

I hate my girlfriends dog so fucking much. I don't just hate it, I actually want it to die. Like I've been running scenarios through my head about the best way to get this thing to die. I know for a fact I could get it put down for behavior euthinasia, people on the street I see (I have to walk it every day) tell me it needs to be put down sometimes.

It's, of course it is, a shitbull that wants to maul and kill everything that it sees. If you're walking it, it will literally choke itself to death/to unconsciousness trying to get at the tasty baby or the tasty small dog or the bird or the rat or literally any small object it thinks it can cause pain to. In order for it to not do this you have to hold cooked chicken in front of it's face the entire walk. It won't take dog treats.

It steals food, not from like the floor but if you don't actively hold it down while you're eating it will steal food from your hand. It is willing to attack you for the food so you have to do a specific rain dance, eat in a specific area, and make sure it's calm before you can take a bite. Sometimes that doesn't work and it will just jump up on the table anyway to eat your food.

It constantly barks and whines and screams. I don't mean sometimes, I mean it is barking right now. My head hurts. It's been barking since 3 PM because it wants to maul all the tasty people, babies, and dogs who are walking by.

The worst part (it's not actually the worst part the worst part is that this dog is a demon that satan couldn't compare to) is how my girlfriend reacts to the dog. If it mauls someone, it's the other persons fault. If it steals your food, obviously that's your fault you didn't do the specific rain dance and incantations that are required for you to eat without it trying to steal your food. She refuses to muzzle the fucking thing and the only reason I'm willing to walk it is because I've seen her walk it and she can't control it, it would pull her over (she's small) and drag her on it's way to kill a baby and I don't want that on my conscience. I hate it so much. God I hate it so fucking much.

So I have always had a hobby for bug bounty hunting since I was in high school. Which is cyber security freelancing if you don't know. And since my summer internship ended, I have been doing just this to make money. It's actually decent money, fun work. Gets me out of delivering for doordash instead.

My main focus on my career is another technical subfield, but it would be cool to one day work an important and interesting cyber security job. Like the option should be in the table I think.

The thing is, all the best/most interesting/highest paying cyber security work all requires security clearance. And I really doubt I would be able to get a security clearance, because of all the deranged stuff I have posted online.

I went for the sexual chemistry when I was younger, but after I started to appreciate myself more, I wanted more from my partner. The instability is dangerous and sometimes dangerous is exciting. But never long lasting.

I had to go through a very bad relationship to understand the value of the “good guy”. To realize that stable doesn’t mean boring, that the ups and downs aren’t better than being in a good place all the time. I don’t miss that kind of sex in my current relationship because everything else is so much better that the sex doesn’t have to be off the roof. I would never change what I have now for what I had with someone else. It wasn’t better, it was all there was. But I might giggle about it with a girlfriend and it would never mean I want it back.
