I’ll be selling mine. It’s 14 karat gold and rhodium plated. Got to be worth something. I guess some people still have sentimental value to that ring, but this woman seriously means not a single thing to me anymore.

The fact any of us give a thought to what we should do with the ring shows how loyal men truly are.

I was working on an oil refinery in Minnesota so I had access to oxy/ acetylene torches. I took a 1 1/4" cast iron cap put the ring in it and heated the cap with the torch. When I was done it looked like a small nugget of gold. I took the nugget and thru it in a river by my apt. That was thirty years ago and I'm still waiting for some kids to find it and that could start the next gold rush.

Don’t know what I’m going to do with mine yet. Definitely waiting until the divorce is finalized though. Hurling it out the window while flying down the highway blaring loud metal music seems to be in the lead though.

Best part is, the day we went to go get it, it came time to pay. She magically had to “go use the bathroom.” And it took her 15 minutes to do whatever the hell she was doing in there. I know as guys we are kinda frugal with ourselves so we will spend multiple thousands on a ring for a wife but wear a 20 dollar band from Amazon or Walmart. But its sort of fitting in a way isn't it. The ring we give our wives is a symbol of our pledge, backed by our sweat and blood. Their pledge is financially equivalent to a combo meal at Jack in the Box. Dont know what I'm trying to say here other than maybe if women had to sacrifice and save for the ring for their man they would appreciate the commitment they are making more...??? Idk. I am keeping mine I paid $1300 for it. It's gold and meteorite and Zirconium. So it's not going anywhere unless I sell it if I need some extra money. I just wear it on my right hand now.
