I don’t think it’s that men are lying about their preferences. I think where the lying happens is when men try to say those are their standards. Saying they prefer a blonde is fine. Saying they’ll only be with a blonde is likely a lie.

It's complete bullshit. A lot of women say that men want women with bbls and big tits. Which is true. For me personally there are multiple body types I am attracted to. I may like small boobs on a petite and athletic girl with defined abs or a tall thin model body. But then I like big boobs on a curvy athletic body or big implants on a 35+ year old fitness girl. Small boobs on a larger framed women is not appealing. Men lie to some extent. I’ve definitely wanted different aspects to some of my partners and didn’t tell them that.

For instance - I like big (and well shaped) boobs. Do I tell the women I’m sleeping with that have small boobs that I don’t find their breasts particularly attractive? Nope… Why do that? I’ll focus on their ass or make a lie by omission in some way that doesn’t give the entire sentiment. Some of them still have nice bodies but I want what I want.

That said - I don’t know many normal men who follow a bunch of random insta models. Things like lip fillers, Botox, etc. are more for women to please women than to please men. Most men aren’t into that shit.

I’d also like to add that what you want doesn’t mean that you couldn’t be satisfied enough with what you get. Every man and woman is different in this way. Some gals will never get over the height of their partner and will always wish for someone taller/etc.

We're capable of getting into women who don't meet our height requirements. Sometimes our weight requirements are also flexible. Hair color is a non-issue. I think most guys would consider dating a 5 and up. In contrast, most women are looking to only give a chance to guys who are 8 and up.

People only tend to give compliments if they think the compliment will be well received. It’s like if you liked someone having a dad bod you might not say it because it might be perceived as a negative.
I think the types of people who really love boobs to the point of commentating on them are also probably more into big ones imo.

If you have personal preferences that you perceive to be away from the norm you might not say it as much.

No. There's a difference between preferences and requirements. For example, most men prefer large breats, but only an idiot would make that a firm requirement. I think, women don't really have to know a lot about men, so they project their perspective on men and think that all men are like popular guys they are attracted to. Women are attracted to a minority of men, so they think men operate similarly. To a degree it makes sense. If you have interest in only 5-10% of men, and you heard that men like sexy women, so you believe that men like the sexiest women only. Also, women would most likely date and hook up popular guys, who have a lot of choice. These guys can refuse a woman, because her tits are not big enough. So, women believe all guys are like that.

Another thing, which is good to know about this topic is that men and women have different attractiveness "scales". Average men get no attention from women, the hottest men get some attention. In comparison, average women get some attention from men (just like hottest men), while the hottest women are treated like goddesses and get money thrown at them.

Ok, we figured out why those statements are incorrect, so let's discuss how they are incorrecct. Generally, you just should keep in mind that men swipe right on 50% of profiles, while women swipe on 5%. All those examples are confirmation biases as the industry is more or less to blame. The industry believes only blonde huge tits get the attention, so they invest everything into these models and nothing for alternative and when the alternative doesn't see the success, the industry goes "I told you so."

So when Instagram or orange YouTube is 90/100 just filled with blondes, don't be surprised that running into not blonde content is a rarity.

I think men may like several type of women, but most likely doesn't want to get in a relationship with all those types of women.

Let me give you an example.

I know Brittanya Razavi is not everyone's cup of tea, but I think she has this exotic and sexy appearance, I kinda like her. But I would not like her as a gf/wife, mother of my kids. I just enjoy her pictures.

My point is, just because you are a brunette but he has blonde models in IG it doesn't mean he doesn't like you or that he is lying to you. We men are more visually stimulated.

I can only speak for myself, but physical features for me is an absolutely wide range. Anything from pale to dark skin, short to tall (not taller than 6ft tho), long hair to medium length hair, curly/wavy/curly is all sexy, all hair colors, all boob sizes, petite/slimthick, etc etc.

However, just because I find a wide range of physical features attractive, doesn’t mean I consider them equally attractive.

It's the same as women and duck size. Theres husband size/aesthetic and preference, then there's what they'd like to look at in porn/magazines or fantasise.

One isn't necessarily better then th other but they both have their place and may even intersect somewhere.

This analogy extends to other male features too.

Personally a confident women who's an A, B cup beats anything else cause she's confident with her assests IRL, a confident nat C and up wouldn't be as hot, as she didn't have to "earn her confidence" in that department..

The boobs thing is like dicks. Most women say they prefer average over large but ain’t nobody ever said “Oh yeah your dick is so average” in a good way.

The one that says his porn history is all blondes I’m doubting. Maybe it’s true but I’m more willing to bet she’s just noticing the blondes more because of a personal reason. Either that or he’s got a favourite star who’s blonde and that’s what he’s saying.

If I could say anything though. Ask women who have the relationships you want about this stuff. Men might thing they know but women who are successful with the men you want actually know. Ask those women and ask as many as you know.

To some extent, yes, I'm sure this happens a lot. Let's face it, most guys aren't landing their physical dream-girl. A little bit of merciful deception and even self-delusion probably goes a long way toward staying happy.

On the other hand, these women you're referencing are overgeneralizing. Men have varied tastes. Even the same individual man can have varied tastes. I'm dating a woman with huge boobs that I'm attracted and a woman with small boobs that I'm attracted to. I don't have a single favorite body type.

Lastly, even if you would have previously considered a certain body type ideal before meeting someone you're really into, your affection for that person can have a strong impact on how you perceive them physically. You might prefer blondes, then find yourself dazzled by your great new girlfriend's brown hair, because it's attached to someone specific you admire.

When a woman I’m dating asks me what I like physically I tailor my answer to how she looks.

If she’s more full figured I’ll say I love curves. If she’s slimmer I’ll say I like long legs etc.

It’s not a lie in that I like both things. But yeah I do have an idealized type for sure. However my attraction is a bit malleable I in fact have found that if I really like a girl I’ll start finding actresses or porn stars who look a little more like her more attractive.

Yes and no. I'm sure men do lie, but there's a few of an issues here.

Firstly, a man can say, "I like small boobs", he could be saying multiple things. He could be saying, "I like small boobs, I like big boobs; boobs are great!" He could also be saying, "Sweetheart, I love you, and I think your body is amazing", and really mean it, but simultaneously prefer bigger breasts.

Secondly, theres a bit of a problem with the "Men only like..." statement. Men do put a lot of stock in physical attractiveness (myself included), but we are a lot more flexible than you might think. We aren't all looking for an anorexic cover girl or a Kim Kardashian level ass; some are, but we really just want a healthy looking woman with a pretty face who takes care of herself. (Men have the problem of thinking women want roided out body builders, and they are equally wrong.)

The point about porn history might be more telling. There is legit so much pornography that a guy has to search in order to find what he wants (think about the indecision you get at an ice cream place with flavors, toppings, cone or bowl; guys might search a while until they settle on what they really want in that moment). If it's consistent, it might suggest something.

On the point about ugliness, two things could be happening. Girl asks guy, "Do you think she's attractive," because she is insecure. He says, "No! She's ugly," to make her feel better, but in reality finds her sexy. The second point is that the guy will go out of his way to say, "I legit don't understand why people find her attractive." (I put Beth Harmon in this category; she just has a weird face and eyes).
