I think the main problem would be the difference in culture, mentality, upbringing and possible language barrier (plus the fusion of two completely different families eg in-laws, cousins etc). And if kids come into play it only makes things more challenging (possibly completely different approaches to parenting, education...). It’s something that needs to be well thought out for sure.

Interracial and intercultural marriages can be a success, but I’d say they take way more work to succeed. On top of the normal relationship problems people have, you’re just adding new ones.

Plus the risk of being scammed is quite high.

And the risk there is not just you parting with your money but her moving back to her home country with the kids where you basically won’t ever see your kids again because you have no rights there at all and nobody will help you find them.

I have done this exact thing. But only because my career took me there. To be completely honest I’m not sure that I’d uproot my entire life just to chase pussy. That said I was getting some in the US, just not in the same quantity and quality as abroad. If I had zero options the calculus may be different.

They don't do it en masse because to do it relatively safely requires a lot of the same things making a good match in western cultures does...willingness to take calculated rather than random risks, hard work, and a broad ability to understand, respect, be polite to and appreciate people who are not like you. Deep down they know that. They know that's not them. They know they won't learn the language because they did five years of a language in school and can't even converse brokenly in it. They know they won't work hard because they quit the gym two and a half visits in. They know their risk analysis is crap even in the cultural settings they are most used to because all their exgirlfriends looked like good bets. And they know they are crap at respecting and appreciating people whose culture is different because some of the times they got called racist have been justified and they know it even if they won't admit it

Have you ever moved to a different country? Imagine the resources, logistics and planning that it takes. How are you going to find work without a VISA sponsorship prepared? How much effort will you put into learning the local language? If you're from the US, are you willing to pay taxes in your own country as well as the host country? Do you realize how difficult it can be to own a business or buy land in most countries if you're not a citizen?

You're going to go through a nightmare of red tape, all just for the prospect of maybe finding a woman.

Most people don't have the resources, skills or even just desire to move to another country.
Men who struggle with dating in their own country often are the reason for their own struggles. They're either too passive to pursue foreign women or they suspect that they're at fault here and they don't want to prove it true by changing their sample.
Dating abroad can be rather tricky. Starting with language barrier and ending with vetting for a partner who is into you and not your citizenship.
Women abroad still have standards and chances are high that a good share of these guys won't be able to fit them.

When I moved to some random backwater place in Brazil it was like oh, theres a german guy with a Brazilian wife, oh another, oh another and another.... it felt like we had more german friends in Brazil than when living in germany. Also it was almost 100% a german husband with a Brazilian wife, never the other way around. The only german wife I saw was with an italian guy.

Agreed. I understand this is hard and not viable for many. If you enjoy traveling and are okay with assimilating wherever you go I think it could work.

I'm personally going the digital nomad route and have remote work which allows me to travel. This is probably only available to STEMcels, but there is a large portion that fit this demographic.

At the very least, you can consider this as an option. It's not a silver bullet and has many caveats (like possibly learning a new language, Visa requirements, etc), but it can be the best option with a shitty hand of cards

People get really pissy about this topic for some reason. The truth is, moving only really works if you fit your target country’s beauty standards better than your own. If you’re truly ugly, you’ll likely just be betabuxxing in another country.

Plus you’d have to deal with the difference in language, culture, etc. It’s also easy to forget how ethnically homogeneous countries outside of the West tend to be. If you aren’t part of the dominant racial group, you could end up feeling detached, and you’d be a niche pick among the women there.

Basically, it isn’t as simple as move East -> become Chad. Not even close. It can work in some situations, but not all, and not most.

A lot of the men who have problems with western women have problems because they just don't have the confidence to deal with women in general. When they make all of the excuses for why dating woman from a poor country is a bad idea and just assume that she's going to start acting like a western woman and start spouting AWALT bullshit, one can easily see this. Interesting how convinced a lot of the posters (mostly women?) on here seem to be that these type of men would still be miserable failures abroad for not meeting the Western idea of being competitive in the dating market.

Like other anecdotes here, I've personally known a half dozen men from America and Canada that were stone cold nerds and with a few months of moving overseas all of them ended up with decently attractive local (Central/Eastern Euro) women.

I don't think the advice that these men should work on themselves is wrong, but it's also the case that the Western, and specifically American, dating market is dysfunctional. "Game" is something that gets you pussy in clubs, when it's expected Joe Average needs to be spending time practicing it just to have a chance to be a 3rd choice dinner date it's not necessarily something wrong with him, it's a reflection of the culture. Increasing conformity of expectations (i.e. hypergamy pushing women towards finding only certain types of men acceptable) and decreasing social skills are leading to an increasing amount of misery and loneliness.

I think you underestimate how hard moving countries is. Moving between anglo countries is difficult enough in two ways - one, basically only people with 90th+ percentile incomes / education can get in, two, the cultural differences between Canada and Australia or USA and NZ etc are larger than you'd think. Especially going from Canada / USA out of north america because non-north american anglo's are heavily exposed to north american culture but we are not exposed to Kiwi/Aus/Uk culture for the most part. Adapting successfully is difficult (in a counter-intuitive way it is in some ways more difficult to go from anglo country to anglo country because Canadians for example don't have a big in-group bias and all hang out together / support each other / create Canadian-only neighbourhoods the way that non-anglo immigrants to the west do). It takes in my opinion above average general intelligence and social intelligence to succeed at migration.

People with the wherewithal to do it are probably capable of making things work with western income. By the time you've managed to move to a new country and get settled, you could have just spent 18 months getting jacked, going to therapy, etc. and sorted your shit out at home.

If you’re open minded, a hidden gem is to date passable trans women. Never had an issue. It was psychologically heavy on my head at first but, the experience ended up being enjoyable. I cannot speak for all but my experience with trans women was always smoother and more peaceful than with cis-women. Not to mention that they have been more accepting of my height.
