Cat calling is improper by my black ass standards so idk what she thought she was doing with this. I’ve been approached as a teen with a Disney channel backpack, when I was wearing a uniform clearly only students wore and even as an adult at the bar even clearly saying I’m married and my husband is the room. Cat calling is violent and makes women think they have to shrink down instead of call this behavior out.

This is why for years I’d wear headphones with nothing playing to avoid this. I’d say I’m thankful this doesn’t happen much anymore (don’t live in the city, walk or take public transportation) but it happens here and there. And this is my experience only within a predominantly black area.
