Many of us don’t hate men for paying for sex. It’s a reasonable thing to do, if you are single and not cheating.

However, I do expect that the men who pay for sex do thorough research on the escorts they hire the services of. There are a lot of women who are pressured or forced into prostitution, but there are also a lot of women who get into prostitution by their own choice, and have their reasons. I expect that the men who pay for sex do their homework, and make sure the escort is there by their own choice.

I have a similar attitude towards porn and the adult industry in general. I don’t really have any hang ups about a partner watching porn, so long as it’s not an addiction that interferes with our own sex life, or our lives in other ways. However, I am aware that the adult industry can be very dodgy and I would expect my man to also have that awareness, and to keep that in mind when choosing what porn he wants to watch.

Because it takes away from women's dating power. Women still need these men to spend money on them via OF/cam models/twitch, go on free food dates, do favors for them (with no reciprocation), backup to raise their kids if they end up single moms and validate them on social media.

When these men get sex and an alternate option to jacking off, they start simping less for women and being their slaves. Thus, women don't like that and shame men for pursuing that lifestyle. They need a healthy supply of backup men they can reliably call on.

They can,but I just really don’t think having sex with someone you know has no interest in you and is waiting for it to be over and collect a paycheck is really going to bring people much fulfillment as they think it will. A lot of them are going to feel worse or the same after. Some will feel better temporarily but realize it wasn’t what they wanted making them feel more like failures. Some will like that they have all the power in the interaction and get a vindictive thrill out of buying a woman for sex. That’s all their business but I don’t think it’s a one size fits all thing.

As for how I personally feel about them,I wouldn’t want to have sex with a man who’s there for a check. It would probably kill my self esteem a little bit further to know this was the best I can hypothetically hope for. I have, however, in my earlier years thought about dropping out of relationships all together to just watch porn for the rest of my life because I was so fed up with dealing with the stress and frustration I felt from men at the time. There was an article from Germany a couple years back where someone interviewed Johns who were regulars at a major brothel. Prostitution is legalized in Germany, but there is a network of human trafficking in which women from Romania, Bulgaria, Africa etc. are falsely promised an innocent job and then effectively enslaved. Some 60% are estimated to be underage girls.

It was a depressing read. Many acknowledged (without being asked) that some of the women they had sex with were most likely trafficked and didn’t do sexwork voluntarily. It’s sickening that someone just wants to get their dick wet and remains completely disinterested in shit like this, funding it.

They were also selfish bastards who tried to wrangle sex workers into acts they weren’t comfortable with, using their financial strain as leverage.

With so many Incels I think prostitution should be legalized to the point that a bunch of normal women would turn a trick per week.

I had contact with street prostitutes as their cab driver. I think the better looking prostitutes get better prostitute situations than working the streets.

I sort of liked street prostitutes because they tended to be humble in a nice way and they appreciated the work of the cab drivers more than a lot of taxi customers did.

But the street prostitutes felt like damaged people and I would not want to have sex with them.

At some time in the distant future I could plausibly be willing to pay a woman to act like she was my girlfriend for a weekend. I am too old for the women I am attracted to and if I was younger I would still be too short for 2/3s of women but the remaining 1/3 of women were enough to take care of me.

The problems with prostitution are: A risk of STDs for both parties, a condom is required to reduce this risk, it isn't cheap, many women are abused, and many low-income women have little choice due to their drug addition and poverty. I think it should be legal with regulations and taxes. If you don't want women condemning you, don't tell them you saw a prostitute.

There seems to be a misconception about what prostitution was "back in the day".

By design, sex workers were not meant as an outlet for sexually unsuccessful men. There could be a few cases, but the main "clientele" was that of established men (and in many cases married) who required a service.

So by taking on the lower range of men, you are expecting these sex worker to provide not only physical intimacy but also some degree of emotional support and psychological care.

This actually ties nicely with how OnlyFans managed to grow so much ; while an illusion, they manage to create a form of intimacy within the privacy of anonymity.

Hence i do think there is a field (market?) of sexual care akin to psychology that could help greatly. Problem is, how do you convince young and pretty psychology graduates to work as sexual nurses.
