There's a chicken and egg thing at play here - some men struggle to date, and that makes them bitter and resentful, and they vent in broad strokes while airing their grievances and frustrations on platforms such as this.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that they believe that this applies to all women - e.g. there are a lot of entitled, narcissistic, shallow and hypergamous women on Tinder; expressing frustration at this and the way these women behave doesn't preclude a man from wanting to date one of the women who are the exception.

And let us not pretend that women are any different - e.g. to take an extreme example, the individual who yesterday posted that airplanes should be gender-segregated because men are inherently predisposed to sexual violence; the women to latch onto nonsense like this and the "Man vs Bear" debate presumably want to date men.

Plenty of women get into an “I hate men” phase, including women on this sub who are married to men or partnered to men. Such a mentality does not suddenly make a person asexual or no longer straight, so while it’s contradictory, they more or less want what they can’t have, which is an idealized version of the opposite sex.

Most men who are frustrated and have so called mysoginistic views started from somewhere. Almost no healthy minded man in modern days is born a mysoginist, he becomes one because of constant rejections and insults from women. If someone is being treated like a monster he eventually becomes one. That is what happens to most men. There is not coincidence that most horrible mysoginists are also ugly men, that happens for a reason. Not saying they have a right to be mysoginists, just explaining why it's happening, and knowing the "why" can help us prevent more mysoginists to be born. But inside them they still hope to get a woman's love and affection. They might self sabotage themselves and might not be ready, but fear of eternal loneliness is worse than ever.

I personally dislike only women babbling online about 'kindness', being 'considerate' and other virtue signalling bullshit. Women are as shitty as men are, and since they have more power in dating - they are corrupted by it. They abandon ridiculous standards close to 30 when they realize that reasonable pool of men is shrinking and their career can barely cover rent and food. Romantic/compatibilty factor plays much smaller role than women like to admit - majority are superficial factors. If you tick enough boxes - bang, you've won. Redpillers are right all the way, but maybe 3% of them can put theory into practice.

Their desire for women is separate from what they dislike. It's like they don't like certain qualities of certain women, so their ideal women would be one without those qualities. Though I'd question the source of such, or how related it is that the dislikes are to inner processes and bias, that's beside the point I suppose.

When a woman is attracted to a given man, it gives him an ego boost. It also gives him some social legitimacy having a partner. The sex is arguably better, as well, which explains why many men use prostitutes rather than just masturbate.

All of these are reasons why a misogynist might want a consistent sexual partner.

Instead, what I see is them pushing buttons, trying to figure out where the line is, trying to challenge women, etc.

They basically read the stated goals of women/feminism and think “alright, do you actually hold this position?”

You say you want equality, are you prepared to leave your kids with dad for business trips? Are you prepared to be drafted into war? Are you prepared to ask men out at least as often? Are you prepared to sign off on the major deals and take charge on the big responsibilities? Are you prepared to get your hands dirty?

Because if not, then we’re all at an impasse - why should men give up all of our advantages without actually addressing our disadvantages?

Furthermore, would you not be as angry and frustrated as they are if you were them? I’m not simply saying if you were in the same circumstances, but rather if you had the exact same DNA, experiences, hormones, and social expectations?

Would you, for instance, stay with a dude even if he stooped so low as to lash out in anger and call you a bitch during a fight?

Can you handle the truth spoken by an SO or would you rather be soothed by benevolent sexism?

It isn’t that they hate women, masculinity simply occupies more of a challenging and adversarial role in life

Depends on what you mean by “misogyny.” I’ve run into some people whose definition of misogyny is effectively a lack of hatred for men. I’ve also seen some of the more radical types define the pro-life movement as misogynistic.

Because I’ve never interacted with a man that openly hates women IRL, I have no sample to go off of. But because I’ve run into a decent number of women that do openly hate men, I’m going to assume the two are total analogs.

Most misandrist women I’ve met claim to hate men as a result of poor treatment from a few men and lack of policing from all other men. So I’d assume the inverse is your answer, there just aren’t enough misogynist men to firm up that conclusion.
