It’s not really surprising at this point that many men feel powerless in their hopes of having a girlfriend, wife, family, etc.

I can think of several platonic female friends of mine who found husbands despite having little education, mental health problems, no driver’s license, low income jobs, etc. I’m not criticizing them - I am simply stating that if a man has these things , it drastically affects his hope of a relationship in negative ways.

Men are told online many unhelpful statements such as “women don’t owe you sex or a relationship”, or “dating is just as hard for women, it’s just different.” (The analogy of men seeking water in a desert; women seeking clean water in a muddy swamp.)

I’m not saying dating is a cake walk for all women - many average and below-average women experience the terrible struggle like men , but in general , woman have more opportunities to find the right partner than men. Example : the amount of dates a woman can often go on, compared to the average man who struggles to get attention or a yes when asking out girls (much fewer dates on average).

All I think some men want out of this situation, like myself, is acknowledgment that the problems men face to be even noticed or considered are real, and often more difficult than the situation women find themselves in which is the role of the chooser.
