We've talked about physical, mental and employment standards here from prospective partners. Since FDS advocates for marriage, if at all! - with HV person, it also means a HV proposal and the trappings that go with it! We are a very diverse group of women so I'm curious as to what would comprise a HV proposal for you all. I've had a disappointing proposal before and it was just icky.

I personally need a very nice ring since I give myself nice, solid gold jewelery all the time. To give perspective, I figure it should cost at least 2x-4x what I would buy for myself, putting it in the 1.5-3k range. It doesn't need to be a diamond or huge (over 1 carat weight) but the stone(s?) needs to be durable since I plan to basically never take it off except for gardening, etc. No opal, quartz, pearl. It needs to express, "This is what marimare21's style is like and fiancé picked it perfectly".

The proposal itself can't just be a regular restaurant dinner or living room thing or while I do dishes. Getaway city trip (I am NOT a nature person!) OR elaborately planned picnic, flower petals, etc! It should be a beautiful moment overall. Oh and not public, no one needs pressure during proposal. Again, should fit my overall lifestyle, style and taste.

Also they should already have some funds saved for wedding/elopement.

EDIT: edited to make my question gender neutral since not all of us are straight! And FDS only advocates for marriage with HV people and when it's to our own benefit.
