I came to this sub to learn something, understand new perspectives etc. Turns outs it's 90% garbage unloaded by broken people to vent their frustrations. It's almost as if it's the internet - who knew?! /s

Anyway, you're totally right, there is very little worthwhile discussion here and it's mostly a constant clash between misogynists and misandrists.

If anything, after engaging with this sub, my opinion on women only got worse. I need to constantly try to remind myself that reddit is not a good sample to judge and that I shouldn't let it influence my general perspective too much.

Why am I still here? Shit posting and oggling idiotic feuds is addictive. In the end I am but a fallible mammal attracted to the low hanging fruit shrugs.

I feel like it’s mostly men that just hate women here and almost any and everything women say is seen as “misandrist” because of said hate, or they’re assumed to be apart of FDS

Either way I find it really easy to tell who has normal lived experiences whether they be man or woman by who’s not lashing out, ranting, trolling, or being weird so there’s decent back and forth to be had sometimes

Sadly, I think you are mostly right, OP. Hatred of the opposite sex is no way to live your life. I put it on par with racism or any other kind of discrimination.

I'm 40 years old and if I have gleaned any bit of wisdom from being a (relatively) old fuck, it's this: you get out of life what you put into it & you see in the world what you have in yourself.

So, if you expect the worst from people, don't be surprised when you get it. Personally, I try to do the opposite, to give people the benefit of the doubt. If that makes me naive or foolish, I am perfectly fine with it. All of life is calculated risk. It may sound trite, but it's much healthier to choose love and hope instead of hate and cynicism!

As an extreme regular, using a alt account. You are wrong. I actually like women a lot, I wouldn't have platonic relationships with them if it wasn't that way. I've lost most of my girl friends in the last 2 years(you can guess what happened), though I'm honest in my preference for male friends. I find them generally more fun and less dramatic. Though some female energy really helps.

I have a lot of problems with ideologies that many women(and men) hold to be true when I feel like they're clearly wrong. That is why I'm here.

I cam here just because this is the only place i can write about my experiences of dating, education and now career without fearing legal consequences again. Needless to say i don't generalize women as a gender that much but i generalize and judge society and feminism as a movement and it becomes inevitable that most women of the west have at least a significant part of their personality dwelling deep there and feminism by objective observation became a movement of women superiority.

I'm not a saint myself as nobody on the planet is so i wait till i have enough information about a person before i judge them at their idealistic followeship. Needless to say this sub is just like real life. Really nice women and some scummy women surfing on their pussy pass privilege complaining that their life is not better as it is already is while complaining about white men's privilege because there are more men in the highest places of the career ladder ignoring that they had it siginifacantly easier to reach their current point that most of their male peers. But there are less NPC women than in real life though.

It's more a matter of this subreddit being politically incorrect, and the discussion of the nature of dating is, for the most part, a taboo topic by irl standards.

You've got to be open-minded and/or willing to engage in the discussion of the subjectivity towards social decorum in which people experience irl. Offering your perspective to the users (however sensationalised it may be) and go from there.

Fast tracking these sex and gender issues are the only we move forward. In saying that, I would say that this sub constantly changes the social narrative which is almost unheard of within our own tribes irl.

Reddit going public may remove a forum such as this which will be a shame as it's the only place that transcends tribal attitudes and allows for users to experience a semblance of impugn intersectionality within a (relatively) safe online forum.
