How in the name of all that is good and holy did we f*ck up male-female relationships so badly? There is no reason this should be difficult at all. The vast majority of us have literal biochemical reactions driving us to want to be with the other gender and care for each other. This isn't just about hookups either. Guys have hormones that drive them to want to protect women and children. Women have hormones that drive them to want to care for and nurture those that they love. And yet here in the West we can't get people married before they are 2/3's of the way through their fertility window and past huge swaths of loneliness in their life, if they get married at all.

My interpretation is that modern western culture is on a downward self-destructive spiral overall, and the fact that more and more young men and women are feeling so much disdain for each other that they override their own internal drives is a sign that we are spiraling towards a modern breakdown and barbarism that will result in horrific dehumanization and atrocities in the not-to-distant future. Once this hits a critical mass, and we get a spark, the barbarians will outnumber the civilized peacekeepers' ability to keep them down and it will result in a complete collapse of the society. If men and women are overriding their natural inclinations to such a degree, it is only a matter of time before other natural inclinations get thrown out the window (think school mass shooters at the scale of the mass violence and destruction in BLM riots). The Right will blame societal decline and the Left will blame guns, but neither will have an effective solution before they just get swallowed up by the chaos. This chaos will be Hell on Earth, except unlike the DOOM video games, the Doomslayer will only be fighting on the side of the demons.

What does this mean? It means we in the West have no ground to stand on trying to tell other more traditionalist societies how to structure their families or treat their women or anything like that. Our methods have resulted in a ticking time-bomb of chaos in our society, and we would do well to try and quarantine ourselves and our bombing social ideas within our borders.

What can we do? Maybe I'm wrong, and people will all come together and learn from each other and find a happy, long-lasting compromise that doesn't have weird long-term issues. You look around at what's going on around you and tell me how likely that is. Because if it doesn't happen at least somewhat, we're in for a rough ride in the future.

TL;DR: Repent ye, for the Gates of Hell are on the way.
