So aside from ghosting, this has, and probably will become the most popular excuse of the 2020’s for girls to reject guys and perhaps vice versa for the weird dudes. (No offense).

“I didn’t feel any chemistry” or “I’m looking for a spark”. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous and illogical this reasoning seems.

Now, if you genuinely gave someone a chance, dated them a few times, hooked up, etc and you still didn’t feel it, I can understand. Too many differences, bad attitude comes out, whatever.

Forget relationships, but even for casual stuff they want to have the spark or chemistry. If you don’t see it going anywhere why would there need to be chemistry?

But to realize y’all ain’t compatible over text or a 30 minute lunch or dinner makes very little sense to me.

I guess what I’m asking here is, how do you quantify a spark? How do you control for it?

Theoretically speaking, if you don’t feel the spark with anyone, how the hell do relationships form without arranged marriages?

Is there a genuine answer for this? Or am I forever doomed to navigate this hellhole of a dating landscape hoping to spark something within someone with a shit load of luck?
